This is what Cost-Plus does for you:

“republicans are suck-ass traitors.”

Wow. Two of Gizmodo’s favorite things: ripping on Elon Musk and Republicans. Did you have a wet dream ahead of writing this?

I wish that were true for the automotive industry. You sound like the health and safety guy; idealistic and with a lot of ‘good ideas’ that get thrown out by the shop leads as soon as you leave the room. I have been a tech in service, manufacturing, and engineering. Not going to name the manufacturers. The article is

Obviously you missed the memo.

Nothing absurdly horrific about this forklift ‘accident’. People do stupid things everywhere, so its not unique to Tesla.

To be clear, it’s possible to both admire Tesla’s ambition and disruptive qualities, and think that the way the company is run is crazy—two truths the Bloomberg story makes all the more evident.”

Exactly how much money was he going to make by pulling engineers from his rocket building company to build a rescue device for free?

“Either you die a hero, or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain.”

So? Some people make money and build their brands by doing good (e.g. Elon Musk); others make money and build their brands by doing evil (e.g. Dotard Trump). Are you seriously suggesting that there is no meaningful distinction between the two?

Adam, this post is ridiculous. Remember that the first thing we heard about the timeline getting the boys out was for freaking OCTOBER. Remember that? And then we heard that monsoon rains were coming back in 24 hours after the boys were found.

The email needs to be printed out and shoved in Adams mouth.

where it might be completely useless”

If it suddenly started raining hard there or one of the remaining kids didn’t have the strength to dive, this capsule may have been a life-saver. No one knew. It was admirable that Musk dedicated his engineers and put this thing together so quickly, and kept going even though it increasingly looked like it wasn’t

Adam..

Jeez, leave the guy alone. You realize he is one bad relationship away from becoming a supervillain right? The man who is obsessed with doing great things will eventually decide that the best way to keep us safe will be to control everything.

Is it weird to pretend to do journalism, but actually just write about your projections about someone?

One problem with this take. After he started publicly musing over ideas, he actually did start talking to the dive rescue team privately on email. The “sub” concept was developed with input from the rescue divers and they continued to press Musk to design and deliver the sub, as shown in a series of emails posted to

Sure, it may be self promotion. But, at the end of the day, isn’t one billionaire trying to do something to solve a problem, regardless of motivation, better than many other billionaires doing nothing?
