oh ya. i totally forgot about those. Haven’t had the chance to play those remakes yet.

I find people don’t turn into pieces of shit overnight, or even over time.  They’ve always been pieces of shit, they just hid it, or no one paid enough attention to them.

Easy mode is jolly cooperation.

The real easy mode was the friends we made along the way.

Easy mode is back there, really. By the time you play Demon’s Souls enough to unlock that door the game will feel quite easy to you. Easy mode unlocked! It was in you all along. 💖

That sucks, I know a lot of people were hoping Easy Mode was hidden back there.

There are obviously lots of people on either side of this difficulty camp, with valid reasons either way. One thing I don’t see mentioned when it comes to Souls games though, is easy mode’s interaction with the online aspects of the game, the discovery aspects as well.

I’m glad that they refrained.  I’m not against easy modes for any elitist way, but I can’t imagine this game working rebalanced - even remotely.

So to sum up, you are whining because the pro version of the console that you bought is saving you from shelling out too much money for a new console at launch, allowing you to wait a year until the next gen library is stronger and the price has dropped? Yeah, that’s tough....

If you do easy mode then you should lose the network connectivity. Last thing you need is getting ganked by some fool who is level a billion cause he did easy mode.

There has always been a built-in easy mode in Demon’s Souls, and it’s called using magic.

Power gains might look small on paper, but a jump in peak torque from 156 lb.ft @ 6400 rpm to 184 lb.ft @ 3700 rpm should make a huge difference to the responsiveness of the engine.

Crucially, the 184 ft-lbs comes on at 3,700 rpm (where the torque dip was), vs the 156 ft-lbs of before coming on at 6,400 rpm.

Hearing the developers talk about the mo-cap needed to make this remake was incredibly interesting. Since the gameplay is designed to be frame-by-frame identical to the original they had to do very strict mo-cap with metronomes to get the animations timed correctly. If the animation was 1.7 seconds long in the old…

Still though, if we had to cast an all-black reading of Seinfeld, Eric Andre as Kramer is a slam-dunk
