Call me a big chicken, but there were some surprisingly scary setpieces here. The subway faceoff with Mr. Sparky was a real nail-biter (and he was right terrifying-looking.) The mannequin pursuing Patty was unnerving (and I loved the fact Patty refused to go in the mannequin room because she figured that was the

Heh—one of the nice touches here is that (SPOILER)

Yeah, boy—the Hollywood press and plenty of TPTB resent her success bigtime. How dare she be fat and “too old” and have hit after hit? As well, if the new Ghostbusters had been actresses like Megan Fox or Zoe Saldana, there would not have been nearly as much straight-up hatred for this reboot.

I’m sure it was also no accident he essentially ripped off Abby and Erin’s ideas uncredited. ;)

Hey, we could have had Megan Fox...:)

Hemsworth’s skill and likeability went a long way towards making Kevin at least tolerable. ;) They did a bad job of explaining why Erin would even give him the time of day. Yeah, he’s tasty, but damn...:) :P

Eheheh. I was partial to McKinnon’s “This is the year 2040 and our president is a plant.” Got some of the biggest laughs in the theater. :)

Damn straight. And please, for the love of God, may we please have unfinished hems/inseams longer than 33"? It makes no sense to have plus-size jeans that fit everywhere—but are high-waters even before you wash them. (Lands End, LL Bean, I’m looking at you too.)

Um...er...Allie, honey, should we be fearing for your mind right now? ;) (Well-played, btw.)

Oh, man—Newport is me place. :) Was there last summer for the first time, and loved it. I could have spent all day driving on lower Ocean Drive alone.

...though Chris Christie is working on it.

...or Mulholland Drive. In fact this movie sounds like an voyeuristic idiot’s version thereof.

...or Siesta. Or that goofy 24 ep. where Kim was stalked by a mountain lion. ( Jeez, really? Is that a major hazard in LA? I thought coyotes were a bigger problem...?

Honest to God, does anyone really notice when one doesn’t shave one’s legs? Seriously, my experience is that folks at the beach or by the pool are too busy catching rays/escaping from incoming tide/keeping their kids from bellyflopping to notice.

Eheheheh. One of my favorite historical anecdotes was about a French fashion designer decrying the ‘60s and complaing bitterly that “American women don’t do what we tell them to do any more.” Life really is a circle, ain’t it? ;)

Good Christ—that Axe ad is ghastly even by Axe standards. There’s an encapsulation of bro and rape culture for ya. One gets the grim feeling Brock Turner took shit like this as a documentary.

Now, now. They’ve been rebooting everything else like crazy on TV (Nancy Drew, really? :P) so this will probably be in 2017's pilot season.

Hush, you. Such things should ne’er be spoken about again once they’ve been banished down the Movies-That-Sucketh memory hole. :)

Ahghghgahghghghgghghghghggh!!!
