There are some And Then There Were None adaptations that I’d have rather made the list. Namely the 1945 film and the 2015 miniseries.

It is 100% a 21st century version of the Tarantino knock-offs that were so popular in the 1990s. That said, it’s probably the best of the fake Tarantino films.
It reminds me of “Why don’t they just call a cab?” for The Warriors.
It was rather Tarantino-esque.
Both of the Branagh Agatha Christie adaptations are....not good. I’m surprised they were included here. Murder on the Orient Express is weak, but Death on the Nile is the worst movie I saw this year. By a mile. It’s a bad movie.
Is Bad Times at the El Royale the one that was basically trying really hard to be a Tarantino movie? As I recall it wasn’t BAD, in fact it was pretty decent, but that was the vibe I got from it: a Tarantino wannabe. But hey, a good wannabe of something great can still be okay, right? If it’s the movie I’m thinking of,…
I can’t help but comment whenever the movie comes up...Brick is Vampire the Masquerade larping. All the little cliques are the clans and I remain convinced it’s not a coincidence.
Brick is amazing. All the tropes of a hard-boiled detecive story transposed to high school. No one calls the police because its not that kind of film: adults barely feature for purely stylistic reasons. And it works. Easily Johnson’s best movie.
Ready or Not is a fantastic movie, but it’s not in any sense a whodunnit (and they don’t even actually play a boardgame). There’s no detective figure trying to solve any mystery. Bad Times at the El Royale does at least have one member of law enforcement in the ensemble, but it’s still not a whodunnit or detective…
This is awful... if the movie isn’t released, no one’s going to understand any of the references in the Chinese knock-off of Hot Shots!
I’m embarrassed to admit that after I saw the movie, I went out and bought an F-35 Lightning II. My wife was pissed to say the least.
American propaganda 1, Chinese propaganda 0.
I enjoyed the movie, but it's also not hard to see that it's a giant ad for Lockheed Martin.
I have always been surprised a Crisis movie wasn't the original end goal when starting the DCEU
Amen, my friend. That movie was just fucking awful. To paraphrase the late, great Roger Ebert: I hated, hated, hated that movie.
I enjoyed it more then the Fish Fucker movie.
Rockwell’s character is pretty much how the outside world view America, and especially its police force.
The short version is the film was filled with so much bullshit I simply could not suspend disbelief. But to get into detail:
FWIW I also hated Three Billboards and if you had told me Banshees was from the same person I’d have called you a liar. It’s exceedingly great.
I hated Three Billboards so much that I’m pretty sure it’s permanently turned me off McDonagh.
