Its a good way to gather data on fuel cells in a controled inviroment, but I don’t think it’s cost effective use of the tech yet. I would bet an ICE shunt truck of some variety is a lot less expensive.

Now playing

While I am biased on the subject, seeing as I work for GM and was part of the SURUS team, Fuel cells are a better answer for this type of operation IMO.

2 doors and rear wheel drive or full frame and 4 wheel drive, every thing else is a compromise.

The trailer David was using is like pulling a parachute. I have a similer one for my snowmobile, in a heavy head wind I’ll get into single digits trying to hold 72mph with a Suburban. Pulling my boat that weighs twice as much is mid teens at 75mph.

HA, I just bought a lotto ticket. : P

“Idiot resistant is possible, idiot proof is not” An old engineer I know.

Regarless of the population numbers, New York is not most of the country. Escapes are small to midsize SUVs.

Bigger tires = better aproach and depature angles. How much better is another question.

A buddy of mine had a peice of rebar that he hit with his front tire come up through the floor of his car, the drivers seat, and spear him in the ass.

Not to mention that doing 17 over could get someone a ride in the back of a cruiser on its own.

NTSB is investagating how the new tech is or isn’t performing and if not what needs to be done about it.

Don’t forget about the wheels being round. ; )

NO, that is not a typical ADD behavior, that’s just stupid behavior. As someone thats delt with being ADD most of my 60 years I have a bit of first hand knowledge on the subject.

Oh come on, how can you not have a car with a juicer on each wheel NOT be a part on Lemons. ; )

Actually, anything over 80" requires marker/cab lights. Ford Raptor squeeks by with 3 lights in the grill and one in front of each front wheel opening.

You missed something. : P

Have a star. : )

As someone at works in automotive design, you are not far off.

As a Boomer that works with a lot of younger people (100s) your wrong. There are good and bad in every genation, millennials as a group have the biggest problem with an intitlement attitude.

Have a star. : )
