Nope, just saying it wouldn’t be that diffacult to have a manual control for the odd time it might be necessary without wheels and pedals..

While the video game controler coment was a bit tounge in cheek, a joy stick with an emergancy stop button would be enough get by situations that may give the computer a hard time. Fly by wire and joystick controls have been used in high performance aircraft for decades.
With drive by wire, does it have to be any more than a video game controler? I can drive the shit out of a a car in Forza with out using a wheel or peddles.
Best comment.
No aluminum bed in the Silverado so no need to back track. : )
Git off my lawn sonny. ; )
It’s funny how some gear heads look at vehicles and make asumptions. I use a pick-up to haul a boat and a few buddys to the lake on week ends, heaven for bid I dive it to work or the grocery store with out being loaded to the gills.
Why do you need back seats in any car? Pick-ups come in all sorts of bed and cab combinations, Crew cab (4 doors & a full size rear seat) with a short bed is the bigest seller so you see it most often in promo material.
Heavy rain can cost an MPG or 2.
You are correct, the roof, doors, glass and rear hatch were were the only carry over parts from the Mustang in 82. I think it was the 84 face lift that the Capri got it’s own rear hatch. Source, my first new car was an 82 Capri RS. : )
On cold weather rides snowmobile bibs work great over jeans, sweats or whatever. Velcro around your boot tops with zippers up both legs make for easy on, easy off. Coldest ride on a bike 17f, on a sled -30ish.
Just goes to show no matter how hard you try to make something idiot proof, they’re always making better idiots.
Losing weight, anywhere possable, is about CAFE not load performance. As far as the rear end having a hair trigger, most modern trucks have both traction and stability control.
Looks to me like both drivers intended to beat the gate at first, PT driver made a late but correct desision. The Audi driver not so much.
Getting plastered in a microwave would have sounded better and been more acurate. : )
You are confusing the American government with the American people.
Worst case for Jalops, or maybe best case, is that driving a car ends up like riding a snowmobile. In Michigan there is around 6000 miles of marked groomed and interconected trails with very lax rules in most areas. Basicly stayon trail, stay sober, stop at stop signs and obey posted speed limits in towns. It would be…
First thing I thought of was AZTEC.
As a 30+ year auto design vet, I simpathize completely.
GMs already past that by a good bit, 18o autonomous Bolts already built according to the artical. I think launch means something much more significant.
