Kinda like the Volt?  ; )

That car was my Dads first design project at Ford after he got out of the Army. :)

As someone that in the course of their career, has cut cars in half to make Limos, saws-alled the roof off several different flavors of coupe to make convertables and help build over a dozen concept cars. Making those vents functional IS simple. :p

The “if any” part of that shows how little the senators understand manufacturing. Changing anything in a plant costs money, let alone changing the tools for a totally different car. Even if they just put an electric drive train in an existing, unchanged Chevy Cruze body, that alone would be hundreds of thousands MILLI

Sooooo, are you Brown or Portman? : )

LMAO, you know.............a couple of scenes in the last Transformers movie were filmed in GMs design building,…………..and the last design VP had a cameo. Just sayin’

You are closer to the truth than most on here will ever admit.

I don’t know the numbers, but I’d put a Franklin on them being lower than the current truck.

The funny thing is, the new trucks have lower CD numbers. From my time working in a wind tunnel years ago, sometimes punching a big hole up front lets all of the rest of the drag producing details live in dead air, reducing the overall CD.

There are aquite a few diferent “demonstrator” jet powered cars and trucks out there, they’re not as fast as top fuels.

I’ve been in a small earthquake, the stands at the start line shake more.

You sir, have hit the nail on the head. : )

LMAO, I saw that car on the road when I was in High School driving my Moms..........................................................Pinto.

Until it dawns on them it could replace tabacco.

Bias ply tires on a hard packed/oiled road will squeal when sliding if you try hard enough. ; )

Looks better is irrelivent to the milatary and I don’t know how you would think it’s cheaper, nothing low volume Mil spec is cheap. Comparing the base vehicle of each, the Polaris is a lot cheaper and more capable off the shelf.

The Pioneer is also about 2500#s lighter.

Beat me too it, have a star.

LMAO, Me too, a wife and kids changed all that though. Loooooots of good stories from my young and dumb days though.

Width number must be wrong, full size LD trucks are right at 80" or just a touch under. Anything over 8o” requires additional marker lights like the Raptor or any HD and larger trucks.
