Look up Chrysler K body limos from the early 80s, they were done in low volume production as “airport limos. My guess is someone else had the same idea and this may be the prototype to sell the plan, it has that type of feel to it.
Lets see if you can get some bites, I do know what it is and can actually say something about it, but seeing the guesses are so much fun. ; )
I AGREE.
Well said, from another never to see 50 something again auto lover. I would also add that any modern SUV/CUV can easily be pushed well into the stupid for public roads level of peformance by anyone with a little bit of skill compared to the crap we grew up with. If you realy want fast get a track car, quit your…
Syd Mead is an increadable artist, I’ve alway loved his work.
So what does that leave to trust Jeremy Clarkson about....
Kuhens, is known as conference room K to those of us that work in the Tech Center. ; )
Thought I’d help out. : )
A good trick while moving a standard 20# LP tanks in to put it into a milk create, it’ll fit nice and snug. Add a second create upside down over the tank and it’s now protected on all sides by a roll resistent inclosure. The milk creates also provide an easy way to tie it down.
In 1980, I had the chance to buy a red 67 GTX hemi convertable that had been just repainted, but needed an new top for $5000. I had the cash available but thought that was to much money for that car at the time. Instead I bought a 71 Trans Am with a 455 HO for $3500 that I ended up selling 2 years later to buy my…
To this day my all time favorite car is one my dad brought home from work for the night when I was 7 years old. Being the son of a car designer (FoMoCo from 54-89) in the early 60s I was already a car nut, but to go for a ride in this at 7 years old....words can’t do justice to it.
I’d have to do some digging, but I believe GMC was using “C” shaped lamps on SUVs as a light signature before Ford.
You sir, deserve a star. As someone that grew up with analog navagation systems (paper map and a compass) I couldn’t agree more that getting lost, then figuring it out is half the fun.
Silly is the idea that if you were looking at both a Pilot and a Tahoe, that you wouldn’t also look a the Traverse sitting next to the Tahoe in the Chevy dealer.
Funny, I bought one new in 86 and loved it.
Realistically, you should be comparing it to a Traverse not a Tahoe.
I spent the summer between high school and collage (1976 so i didn’t touch this one) doing rust repair on them........................good luck. ; )
Did something like that 30 some years ago as a practical joke. Mounted the hose under the steering wheel and wired it to the ignition, turn on the key and you get your crotch soaked.
You just saved me a good bit of typing. ; ) Have a star.
