Oh, and I’ve ranked every R.E.M. album track. Here’s my top 30, plus the first appearances on my list of Chronic Town, Around the Sun, Accelerate, and Collapse Into Now.

That is indeed an unusual list (except for your top two and your pick for worst), though we agree on some things. Here’s mine, from best to worst. I think the top five are classic, 6-10 very good, and the rest flawed.

I was told the tapes would be someone’s secret. Maybe they’ll show up regarding this plotline.

I had a different journey of feeling lukewarm about this show. I almost gave up on it in the first season because it rarely made me laugh. Then it got better, but still not great as a comedy. Then there’s the fact that 40% of the main characters (Tamilla and Jason) never evolved past one dimension. I actually think

A few months ago, someone bought a bunch of VHS movies I was selling. I found out they were going to be disguised and used as props for this show, which I have never watched. Was this the episode to feature my tapes?

I think you should stop watching, read the book, then watch the whole mini-series. I’m pretty sure it’s a one-off. It shouldn’t take you too long to read it; it’s quite the page-turner.

Cap City is from the book.

I know what you mean about the ending, but I had a different reaction to it. I thought King was smart to resist the urge to go big just for the sake of having a big splashy culmination. I mean, how else could it resolve? Have the outsider shoot lasers out of his eyes?

Personally, I like that this monster turns out to be a bit underwhelming; I think it fits. It’s better than staging an artifically explosive climax for its own sake. I would have been more disappointed if the protagonists had been met with an over-the-top “final boss” conflict, which is what made the Crimson King

Amen

This is awesome. There's hope for the human race after all.

Nope, article has it right. Furry heroes are better than what we deserve.

You can tell by the blurriness that this was a surreptitious shot.

The Art Teacher is definitely amazing. I think his songs “Imaginary Love”, “Oh What a World”, “Go or Go Ahead”, “Vibrate”, and “Cigarettes and Chocolate Milk” measure up.

“a rollickingly funny episode”

I actually enjoy the Canadian Amazing Race.

The aired episodes are probably online somewhere.

I liked Avnet's Tune in Tomorrow (starring Peter Falk and Keanu Reeves) quite a bit better than Fried Green Tomatoes.
