The camp undercut any dramatic power for me. I did enjoy it for the story, but found the remake much more powerful. I realize few people agree with this assessment…

The original was more campy than creepy. The tv movie, however, was touching and well acted.

She's a singer-songwriter type who got miscast as a poppy bad girl* at the beginning of her career. "When The Pawn" and "Extraordinary Machine" are two of the best albums of the last twenty years.

Christ. This show has lost it. One funny line this whole episode: "Leonard likes this post."

Season 1 had "Advanced Criminal Law". Season 2 had "Custody Law and Eastern European Diplomacy". Now, season 3 has this. Every season has its worst episode. The "Ally McBeal dancing baby"-like cartoony aspects in this episode and the last have been very alarming…

As Jerry might say, do you live in Bizarro Superman's world?

Except way cuter!

I think you're wrong about what sent Shane over the edge. The reason is that in his twisted mind, what Lori said gave him hope that they could be together again. He just had to get Rick out of the way.

THANK YOU for giving this show its due. I'm always surprised at the hate it gets around these parts from commenters. At the very least, it was brilliantly performed, especially by Doris Roberts. The way she walked the line between hostile and loving was spellbinding.

firstie grade: D-
The review clearly shows that it's not Denzel who's being a hack in this case.

I thought I'd finally jump on the Community train by playing catch-up. Trouble is, I just watched this episode, and I'm still waiting for the greatness to begin…

I'm assuming you've seen Gerry, then. If not, get on that shit. Beautiful movie.

I'm taking this as a compliment, especially the insane part.
Did you notice number 4 in my top ten contains FIVE DIFFERENT FUCKING LINKS? BASK IN MY FUCKING LINKS

Look at my totally spontaneous post!
I recently finished watching the first seven seasons of this show (I gave up on the current season after a few episodes; looks like I'm not missing much). And because this is the type of thing I enjoy doing, I graded every episode. Watching them all in the space of a few months

I think your comments on Lost hit the sweet spot between the two extremes usually found in the comment sections on this site: It had compelling characters, but the weird stuff was just as important to its appeal. A flawed great show.
