Good lord! We need at least one poster to completely miss the sarcasm and state the obvious. Every. Single. Time.

Sigh. I will probably still keep driving and working on my e39 for a while - even though leasing a manual accord would be cheaper!

Define still. All of my m54 powered bimmers (E46, E53, E39, E83) had Vanos, cooling system, plastic valve cover etc. troubles at certain mileage but never seen their straight six engines having trouble with timing chain guides. Was that “feature” introduced later?

I will just wait here until Bimmer Fan Boi squad shows up to poo poo on Audi build quality...

Someone once said: Built like a tank, looks like a tank, drives like a tank.

Word to the wise: before you get all pumped up and try and pick up the next car you find in a ditch with your drunk friends - this just is not a good idea. One little slip or mishap and things get ugly, very ugly - very quickly.

... good luck to lift your feet when going over railroad crossings.

My e39 wagon has a surprisingly short first gear, so it is easier to start in 2nd in slippery conditions.

That’s like saying:

Sarcasm is strong with this one!

Shults: There is a hole in the plane and someone went out

Every time I list my badly behaving car for sale - it starts to run perfectly, until someone actually shows up to look at it.

Yeah, the Suzuki liked to foil its plugs on regular basis. I learned to clean and re-gap the plugs way before I could see over the steering wheel!

Learned to drive on 1978 Suzuki Fronte. 660 cc three cylinder, two stroke rear engine and 4speed manual. You had to plan to your moves in advance.

bumphuq Alaska? Snows 485 days a year? Hellcat on a steep gravel driveway with sheer drops on either side?

Come, come! Buying that 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan SXT wasn’t a stupid decision.

This car is mostly just trunk

Nah, I got you beat

Hear, hear!

I hear ya! Recalls with brand new models are somewhat commonplace. Alpha seems to get unwarranted hate from many a keyboard warriors who aren’t even the target demographic for these cars.
