Because “small business rights” is the functional equivalent to “well-off white guy rights” in conservative land, and the whole point of “well-off white guy rights” is to yell at everyone colored, female, or queer when they stand up and tell them to sit the hell back down, and if they don’t, they’re taking their

Oh trust me, I spend PLENTY of time evaluating why I do what I do...if anything, I can stand to do less.

I often overstate when I try to be brief...take too long to say anything when I equivocate...

Trucks have become anti-elitist status symbols, which is such a weird oxymoron I’m not sure where to start...

This car has something I really love about performance Hondas, that few people talk about: a great driver-oriented cockpit. The S2000 really defined what that looked like, but it was already present in older models like the Del Sol, and this looks like it’s got that mojo too :)

The flats on every fender on every car around the wheels.

Considering the most common pickup truck dealer package is $8000 for big wheels and tires and some badges (seriously: look up the GM “NorCal Package” on Silverados and Sierras. It’s $8k for wheels, tires, black badges, and a logo’d backpack. Insane), it’s great to see a real substantive package, at a reasonable price,

The design is a great modern rendition of the beautiful Le Mans-style coupes of the 80s and 90s, that we’ve sadly kinda lost for awhile. I think it succeeds in capturing that emotion and shape in a distinctly up-to-date, non-retro package.

...they apparently are thinking of selling a lifted version of the R8 as some sort of ridiculous allroad supercar.

Subaru did it with the BRZ and the BRZ is a great car. And unlike Subaru, Audi up until now has not exclusively offered AWD, just extensively, as they have FWD base models in many cars. There is a precedent at Audi for offering a price break for two less driven wheels, and the loss of illustrious Quattro.

...the first car I ever wanted was my neighbor’s 1989 Chrysler LeBaron.

Just...put a bullet in Honda already, please. They don’t have the processes or culture in place to cut it, we’ve lost three years of potential McLaren improving (personally, I think they’ve been on the upswing since they changed to Honda...except for the Honda part)...let’s just stop this nonsense. Enough Honda in F1.

No BMW I6, even an “e”, can possibly be as unloved as the terrible, terrible 1.9 liter I4.

Great point. Unionization is a symptom of others who took too much advantage. Good management balances punishment and reward, to encourage and enable people to work at their best, and get the best out of them, without need for collective bargaining muscle.

Meaningless contrarianism...what’s your alternative, freedom fighter?

Selfish simpleton...

Any decent union protects the reputation of its trade by having standards which they hold their members to. Some unions are bad, but it is definitely false to say that unions will inherently protect bad workers. Any reasonably functioning union shouldn’t.

I’d rather have an 07+ HR model with reasonable miles, plus a huge budget for mods, for that money...but yeah, pretty cool. I don’t love Zs but I like them. I had a pretty big soft spot for the Z33s for years as well. I was always so glad Nissan saw fit to build a car like that at that price point.

I think it looks like a funky shoe car thing. Doesn’t Jalop love funky shoe car things?
