This thing is stunning, I love everything I know about it except the lack of manual.

I’m disappointed there aren’t more people in the world who can differentiate style from substance...
The 90s was a peak in whatever economic metric you get when you balance out the total GDP versus how much everyone was feeling it. It expressed itself in cars, in addition to the car being at the right point technologically, and in step with the rest of technology, just as you said. It’s also tied to the bigger…
Eh that sounds nuts, but when you deal with private development in the major urban centers of the united states, you quickly learn a parking space is worth $100-$200k in pretty much any city. Putting a single digit multiplier on that for Hong Kong doesn’t surprise me much.
I understand, and that version is tuned for midrange torque and not higher end power...horsepower has more to do with revs and breathing than displacement, really.
And they’ll always love us, no matter how much we hate them, because of American exceptionalism!!! woo!!
I know, but there is no “FA25" that I would be imagining...a ~240-250 HP naturally aspirated version equivalent to the Toyobaru’s FA20 but with 25% extra displacement.
They just need to get the FA20T under the hood of one of these things, it would fly...I have heard rumors that a turbo “doesn’t fit” in the Toyobaru engine bay. In which case I would also accept a 2.5 naturally aspirated variant...more cubes!
They often make a significant difference in the noise level of the engine audible outside the car, actually...and carmakers are always trying to cover up NVH.
I take it as a bit of a victory to comment a very rational, fact-based post to a troll and get zero response. Maybe they just didn’t read it, and that’s their loss, but if they did read it and couldn’t troll it, then that’s them losing and me winning because I wrote something they couldn’t troll. I like beating trolls…
Identity politics is being seen as a mistake on the left, but was utilized in the goal to compensate for racial disparities and return those who had previously been oppressed to a more level socioeconomic and cultural position from which to make the most of their lives. So your description of it as racism is a real…
I live in a reasonably liberal coastal area, and days after the election, one of my best friends, a lebanese-american naturalized American citizen who came over here at a very young age, speaks english fluently and with no accent, etc. etc...he’s driving down his neighborhood street going home on his lunch break and a…
The occurrence of voter fraud is insignificant...voter protection laws are a red herring based on a myth, and amount to suppression of minorities in practice. They often get struck down in court for blatantly doing just that.
Yes, but the Democratic party definitely moved away from their southern base through the 1950s and 60s and embraced northern liberals so that democratic party of the civil war doesn’t exist anymore under the modern Democratic Party label...so while you are accurate, your statement also deserves a little more context :)
I dig the provocative, independent insight. I will NOT sink to the low of pressing my *independent thought alarm* !
All these mainstream manufacturers paste on all the bulbous, tacky appearance of performance (if you don’t know what performance looks like) on their mainstream models, below legit sport models like WRXs and GTIs and Mazdaspeed..but can you REALLY pound one on a backroad when you want some fun and actually enjoy it…
I’ve generally had a lot more fun in my life since I stopped asking my parents’ permission on what I do, racing or otherwise.
I’m guessing the G60 motor has its roots to the VW 1.5/1.6/1.8 block that underpinned 8v, 16v, and 20vs up to the introduction of the EA113 in the MkV Golf...I’d swap a G60 for a 1.8T!
It’s not unfair to say that people are just more angry and wound up in general these days, pretty much across the board...
Yeap, there are definitely some very conventional (and unconventional) cars on the ‘ring! I only got to drive it once nearly 9 years ago now for one day, but I saw a motorhome, a couple campers, a bus, and many very un-Ring cars...just family cars and tourists out for a spin! Alongside the race cars and GT3s...
