When it comes to the ACAB commentary, we seen a form of it as far back as the first episode of Part 2, where a literally piggish, greedy cop was about to arrest a impoverished black kid for stealing the main character’s wallet, and is introduced this way. Imo, it’s pretty dated message, but it’s a message nonetheless.

I think Edgerunners (second half drags on for a while) and Chainsaw Man (this one was just so bad and boring) are way too high. Violet Evergarden way too low, especially since proper romantic anime are so rare. I agree with MP100 though I would put VE and Demon slayer in second and third.

Depending on just how (not) long ago, they may have objected to 16 year old you interacting with it in any way.
