That, in a nutshell, is management: to be the adult in the room. You get to/are forced to/have to babysit and make the grown-up decisions. I’ve been on both sides several times. I’ll take management. Then I can at least make it better for the “worker bees”. As a worker, you can do you job, but it is rare that you can

because it is clearly identified

I can’t fathom how, even the most casual of US baseball fans, could not know that.

Then again, I’m old and everyone played and watched baseball when I was a kid.

I had the exact same reaction to that scene! Come on, Case! Team Green wouldn’t have overlooked something that freaking basic!

Your last point is spot on: the internet allows us to see it in all of its “glory”. As an added “bonus”, it allows like-minded people to only get their “news” from echo chambers that only tell their side of the story.

And had a Mustang driving through a crowd in the background....

This has to be the most jalopnik picture ever posted on jalopnik

Only the 100m dash is measured in seconds...

What makes ararapompia’s point valid, is the title of this article:

Sadly, not surprising for an odd year election.

And when you say that out of 2.2 million only 250k bothered showing up, it doesn’t take into account the number of people who are not of voting age and/or are not legally allowed to vote. So, both arguments have their flaws.

I was going to say to MsAnnaAasa, “You do realize that Houston is the bluest city in Texas, almost completely controlled by Democrats and always votes Democrat in Presidential elections”, but you summed it up nicely and aren’t a perma-gray.

The day I picked up my (then) brand-spankin’-new BMW K1200LT was pretty irritating. I went to the dealership and watched as they uncrated and did final assembly/first servicing. I rode it out of the building and headed to my wife’s office to show off the new toy we’d been waiting three months for.

We can always hope!

I called it!

Just like requiring law abiding citizens to register their firearms. Criminals won’t do it. Mandating it makes it pointless. The exact same argument covers both.

Greatest American Hero. Doofus protagonist with silly “green guys” antagonists. Just a fun show!

Very possibly. That’s one reason why I don’t purchase my meat from a store. I either raise it, hunt it, or purchase it live from the farm - and only from farmers I trust to raise the animals well.

I don’t buy factory farm meat. If I don’t raise it, I go to a local farmer and purchase the cow or pig, or I hunt the game animal myself. Your statement is true, but doesn’t apply to me.

I’m definitely a carnivore, but I prefer my “prey” to be expired and respected before I dine. That’s just cruelty.
