You know, you *can* buy the two door version with the long bed if that’s what you’re after.

The four door, crew cab versions sell better, so they make more of them, but the standard cabs still exist.

As a Texan, I burst into flames just looking at the pictures!

1. Ignorant take. There is a whole region in the midwest that is referred to as the “Heartland”.

2. I am *very* well travelled. I have been in every state in the US, every continent (including Antarctica), and at least 90% of the countries on this planet. Yes, there are racist morons in every area. In my life’s

They never flew where I grew up.  We used to “joke” that all Confederate flags should be burned - especially tattoos.  (Mainly because I grew up in Southern Iowa and we all hated Missouri)

Only the “Heartland” is the midwest which was Union. Iowa, Illinois, Ohio, Indiana aren’t exactly bastions of rebel flags or rednecks. You know not of which you speak.

(Grew up in Iowa and everything there is “Heartland”)

As someone who lives in south Texas (ie. the surface of the freaking sun), I wholeheartedly agree with you.  w/o tint, the inside of my vehicles would be 160+ degrees in the afternoon.  I’ll keep my tint, thank you.  David Tracy can have the deathtraps all to himself.

I just want to say your screen name is awesome. When I started reading the discussion thread, I had to do a double-take. “Wait. Have I posted on here today?”

The 85-87 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme 442 was my dream car when I was in high school (88-92).  Big, comfortable, and “powerful” (for the era).

You just reminded me to be thankful that my 2013 150 is paid off.  Even back then, the sticker on that truck was $53k.  While I need a 250 (or equivalent), I refuse to pay for one...at least not a new one.  I’ll probably end up buying a used XL with 100k+ on the clock for towing purposes and silently weep that it

I’d love to buy one of these, put a real suspension in it, the largest supercharged V8 that would fit, and a manual transmission in it.  Then, it would be an amazing weekend car.  But I don’t have a “spare” $50k laying around that I can light on fire, so it’ll never happen.

All of these “this is incredibly childish”, “this is unprofessional”, and “this doesn’t belong in racing” comments make me laugh. For the younger folks out there, you may not realize that most races were not nationally televised in the beginning of NASCAR. That all changed after the 1979 Daytona 500. “Why?” you may

I’d give this “ALL THE STARS!”, but take the one I can actually give. This is the best advice.

I’m an old school NASCAR fan (I’ve watched basically every televised race since 1982). I’d prefer the points to go back to full season points. That said, I do like the segment racing (I know! Blasphemy!). My rationale is this: it gives me, the viewer, three (or four, in the case of the Coke 600) chances to watch the

The tens of them sold would be instant classics, though.

The 6 foot round bales that I use are ~1,000 lbs.  So, yeah, that is a ton of energy taken up.

I desperately need to hear this thing run and watch it go full hoon in a parking lot.

That’s great...if I’d buy a Fiat truck (which I won’t).

There is no way you’re in Texas to get one at that price.  The demand here is too high and keeps prices inflated.

It would, for sure.  However, smaller trailers won’t fit my two big boys.  They’re exceptionally tall (16.3 and 17.2 hands, respectively) so they won’t fit in a trailer shorter than 7' tall interior height.  Even a 7'er causes them to duck a bit.  So, I have this massive dual axle 8' high trailer to fit them.

The trailer alone is 8k.  Each of the horses add another ton (the Belgian is 2,200 and the Percheron is 2,000 lbs).  That’s a 12k+ haul just for a vet appointment...let alone if I actually wanted to GO somewhere with them.
