GA was ALWAYS Batman with a bow.
GA was ALWAYS Batman with a bow.
When people say that, aren't they just referring to Holland's performance and not the movies themselves? Personally, I think the bigger grievance is how reliant on Stark technology they made him.
how damn hard it is to keep being both a superhero and a regular Joe who needs to pay bills.
The ‘90s animated Spider-Man series is pretty much exactly what you’re describing.
I know people like Batman and Batman movies, but I really wish Batman was an HBO prestige series. I’m tired of Batman trilogies that take 10 years that generally cover the same ground and never get to some of the cool Batman stuff.
I’ve never been so happy to see an era of ‘popular’ films die off than the earlier days of Zack Snyder’s DC universe. It’s a short era with really only four movies in it (MoS, BvS, Suicide Squad, and Justice League), but man, thinking back, there’s probably only about 30 minutes of those eight-ish hours of films that…
In terms of pacing, A New Hope takes a long time to get going, but it’s more a product of the times. The pacing in Phantom Menace is inexcusable.
I never thought I would say this, but yeah, TPM holds up the best out of the prequel movies. I think it’s also a better overall constructed movie. AotC and RotS both feel like they were made by committee even though everything was approved by one guy.
I think TPM probably holds up the best because it was shot on film and had a lot of practical effects and sets. By AotC and RotS Lucas was trying to get away with as much CGI as possible and it all just looks tacky and brittle.
Yes, this times one trillion. This movie feels as close to current comics as the Joel Schumacher movies did to the Batman comics of the day.
‘Wow, there’s so many cool female DC characters and no one knows anything about any of them!’
You know, I was onboard with the last trailer, but these last pieces where everything is once again “she, she, she, and oh so marvelous she” are making me again skeptical of the whole thing.
It’s a sad smile?
Oooh, sounds like fun!
That looks a lot more like Bruce’s brace-gear from Kingdom Come than a Batsuit for mixing it up. Granted, I’m sure that even super old Bruce is capable of scrapping more than you’d expect, but that tiny bit of picture seems more evocative of Kingdom Come than anything else to me.
It annoys me still that he wouldn’t do it for the final episode, but I’ll never stop laughing if he doesn’t do it for this.
I think it’s funny Tom Welling still isn’t going to be wearing the suit it looks like.
Yes, he started off as a model so it’s to be expected, but goddamn Tom Welling is aging well! Messing with my Kinsey scale pretty muthafucka...
It’s almost like people want some sort of balanced middle ground between the two extremes...
