Mine is a G35S. I take it to Nalley Infiniti Marietta for most things.
The bi-xenon projectors on my G35 (the only choice other than supplementing them with AFS) are honestly so good that I fear driving other cars at night, and I really don’t drive my Accord at night for that reason. My dads F30 doesn’t have the lighting upgrade and the halogen reflectors are beyond a joke.
Yeah definitely a slave to the daylight, the lights in the garage aren’t nearly bright enough to see anything at night. I don’t really do anything to my Infiniti in the apartment garage, mostly my old Honda which is admittedly fairly straightforward to work on.
The Alltrack is the apple of my eye, but I can’t convince myself to replace my G35 just yet. This tune knowledge is making it much more appealing, however.
oh no.
Feeling a strange compulsion to scoop one up and fit it with properly gorgeous wheels.
...yes. I’ll forgive you for being unenlightened (;
Your tactic sounds reasonable to me. I usually want to see a car multiple times. When selling a car I usually meet the prospective buyer in a public place away from home, let them drive it and look at it, and then I’ll let them come to my home for a cold start / repeat. I try to remember this seller mentality when I’m…
Well there really aren’t any power points, I’m essentially limited to what I can do with my hands. I don’t mess with fluids out of courtesy for the building, but I did do a valve cover gasket in the parking space.
I agree, I want to see a cold start and experience the car warming up.
Suspiciously new parts. I bought a 1988 Mercedes-Benz 300CE with a literally brand new battery from the day earlier. The owner said “the old one seemed a bit flat, so I got a new one” I’m like sure ok cool new battery w/e.
The one thing I vividly remember about the X-Type is that the tachometer was so heavily dampened (I presume for the illusion of smoothness) that the needle was well behind the actual engine speed. The transmission would shift gears (languidly) and the tachometer would still be falling as the engine was accelerating…
I agree as well, the oil temperature light in my dads F30 BMW is probably a much better indicator to go by anyway.
A friend had one of these, I loved it.
My first car was a 1997 Jetta, though a GLS without the silver gauges. I always thought it was an elegant design.
My moms 2010 XC70 has these gauges & I’m a big fan E X C E P T that the damn thing doesn’t have a coolant temperature gauge.
Honestly quite a fan of the clusters in my current vehicles (images aren’t mine) - 1990 Honda Accord & 2007 Infiniti G35. I often wonder how I’d like the newer gauge screens during night driving, I like to dim mine to almost off & it seems like a large backlit-screen would be irritating.
this one is a Honda, I previously had an older Mercedes with that many as well. Doesn’t faze me anymore.
Lol, yup. I bought a commuter with 245,000 and nobody batted an eye.
