Step 2: cry

Seems like the current Alltracks (manual or not) sell at discounts, would that go out-the-door with a top of the line, less-likely-to-be-stocked version such as this?

If it don’t go snicc-snicc, it’s automa-tic.

It’s an intentional joke, I apologize.

RIP in peace.

I had a friend who yelled at me for flashing-to-pass when I was driving, and told me if anybody ever did that to him, he’d brake check them. Needless to say he isn’t the most courteous driver, and unfortunately I imagine a lot of people are the same way based off of what I see.

I watched almost the entire video, when I was little I thought Eagle was a cool name for a brand. That aged poorly.

An Alltrack is a very good option! I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t debating replacing my Infiniti with one (I hear that soon you’ll be able to get the manual transmission on the SEL), but the “no car payment” argument continues to win for now.

My revelation was when I realized I could get a sideview mirror for my 2007 Infiniti at the local pull-a-part. 12 years and still doesn’t feel old to me, but I’ve had 1994, 1990, 1988, and 1985 model year cars and I was born in 1994. 2007 is quite modern for my tastes.

Here to agree on the confidence issue as well. It’s just me, so no worrying about another person, but I regularly cross the state (country too, at times) in my 12 year old Infiniti, and if I no longer feel like I can just hop in it and go anywhere, that will probably be the beginning of the end.

I am literally incapable of comprehending how people live like this. And you KNOW it’s the same at home, only massively scaled up.

I know its sort of an apples to oranges comparo, but my mom still daily drives her 2010 XC70 (non turbo) AWD which is swiftly approaching 200k, and it is absolutely ROCK solid with nothing outside of timely regular maintenance its entire life. Try as he might, my dad can’t convince her to replace it.

*puts millenial goggles on* Honestly though, why was GM so innovative mid-century & what happened?? Or are they still innovative, just less bold about it?

I wouldn’t even consider myself *particularly* good at math (even though I have a masters degree in architecture) but I surreptitiously check the math when people tell me how much they are paying per month for their car, and silently choke at how much they think they “paid” versus the total of payments.

*me, in the middle of a strawberry field, about to purchase a 1991 Subaru XT-6 from the russian truck driver who lives there*

I hope you said “Sorry, I’m currently not buying cars from anywhere that won’t service mine.”

Haha, my Infiniti doesn’t beep either. Maybe it’s a Nissan thing?

So I was SO close to doing it, but I live in an apartment building in Atlanta with no real reliable way to charge it :c

I think treating it like alcohol is an appropriate way to do it, but there are distinctions in behavior while stoned vs drunk, and I’m initially inclined to believe being stoned is the lesser danger (open to discussions). That being said, driving while under the influence is still under the influence in either case.

The Leaf has actually been around for a good bit as well, & an earlier one can be scooped up fairly inexpensively. I’ve considered it, as my daily commute is around 20 miles.
