@mike_311: Hahah - if I told myself last year I would get to this point, I'd have a heart attack myself!

@Jahmon: Nope - I want a physical keyboard. Although I really don't like the Droid's keyboard, I think I'll get used to it. Oh, I guess I should mention I used to work at Motorola and I'm getting hooked up...
I'm making the switch... going from my iPhone 3GS to a Droid. Who else has done this and what do you think? I've decided I'm way more tied to Google than I am to Apple, and I use streaming radio apps for my music nowadays. With Verizon, Google, and Pandora, the Droid fits the bill for me. Am I going to miss…
@Buster Friendly: You don't have to downshift, but your brakes will certainly last longer if you downshift more often. I downshift when I know the light is close to turning green or if I'm going down a hill.
Fantastic - I just signed up for a LogMeIn account. I've been using iChat for screensharing/remote control with my Macbook Pro, but I'll definitely use this a lot (more than I'd like) to troubleshoot my grandparents PC.
Hmmm... maybe I should submit my desktop next time LH asks...
@TomyDingo: Nice - thank God for TimeMachine
@TomyDingo: I'm pretty sure you have to re-install Snow Leopard. That's what I had to do... I, like you, didn't read the release notes!
@Webran61: Seconded... One of my notes is (and has been) dedicated to gifts. This post made me laugh!
I made an ice-rink for my fraternity in college up in New Hampshire. It took probably 2 weeks to complete and the plastic wasn't cheap. Main takeaway: only put down a layer of ice at a time - if you just let it puddle, the air in the water will cause the ice to shatter. By slowly building up layers, the ice will be…
I bought 8GB of ram mostly to say "yeah, I have 8GB of ram." Now, I do use a lot of it running Flash/Photoshop/Firefox, but nothing that 4GB can't handle. It was just so cheap!
Don't forget to use redlaser and shopsavvy - those should be updated with the latest amazon (and other e-retailers) prices.
@awrr: Downloaded and tested it... so it takes forever to read the barcode. To compare to RedLaser: ShopSavvy is better to find local prices, whereas RedLaser is better to find online prices.
How does this stack up against RedLaser?
@shevthedev: Well that last bit takes care of that.
@NorwoodIsMyHero: Yup - really only uses it at home and at school, where she teaches.
My wife is the perfect Chrome OS user:
@Ryan M. Moore: Thats a nice trick - haven't seen that one before. I'm definitely gonna use that. If its 6%, its probably easier to divide the 10% by two to get 5%, then add 1%.
@SWC Oxcart: I hope they use one of their own as their "typical Chrome OS user": Marissa Mayer
@SamburgerHandwich: Nice
