Oh, there’s obviously nothing inclusive about political chants at a racing event. (And to be transparent: I myself no major beef with Joe).

My only use of the term “inclusive” in my story referred to why I’m not interested in expensive race vehicles, and why I instead ditched the race to drive a vehicle that more

Burned.

“Palm Springs hotel whose nightly rate is likely higher than the value of most of my Jeeps. Combined.”

I only mentioned it because it was an overwhelming theme, and to ignore it would be to ignore a key vibe of this event.

You should absolutely get into off-roading. KOH is just a snippet.

I’d been considering getting into off-roading but if it’s all a bunch of MAGA people -- evidently to the point it merited two separate mentions at two points in the article -- I’ll pass.

It’s a recall because that’s the legal term for it. Everyone already knows Tesla can do OTA updates.

Well they have assaulted people, threatened people at a homeless shelter, and tried to burn an apartment building down.

Using your Dyson hair dryer to open your Tesla’s door = peak influencer.

Or, you know, press the defrost button in the app?????

The missus had a Geo Metro(?) with the plastic flush mounted handle you pulled up on. That froze and broke. I’ve had other design freeze as well.

I don’t see how this is much different from a door that is frozen shut on any other car. On one car I had in the past, the door handle broke off when trying to open a frozen door.

It is  not a flamethrower, it’s a door key!

Sounds somewhat similar to my gas door. It’s a Subaru where you have to pull the floor mounted latch to release the door. In the winter it’s very common that you pull the lever, walk around the car and find the door is still frozen shut. So you give the door some taps, walk back around, open the driver door, pull the

Well you can ask me questions, I’m here! haha

Big yikes on the immediate reply with “hey you damaged my car with pet hair, let’s talk off the app so you can pay me” within the same minute of submitting the rental return. For me that’s a response of “Nice scam, no pets went near this vehicle. I will charge back anything you add to the claim and cancel the card if

I use Turo when I want something with extremely high mileage limits. I took a trip out west recently, rented a Range Rover that had a 700 mile per day limit, and it was perfect. When you want something nice with huge mileage limits Turo is basically the only way without paying an insane amount.

I think a lot of people get in to it after buying a new car, thinking they’ll make up the car payment + some profit, and then sell it in a couple years. Obviously being in good condition is key to this strategy.

Putting these people on a no-fly list wouldn’t be denying them transportation. They could still drive, take a bus, or take a train to distant destinations.

This would be fine if we had proof of vaccination to fly, but otherwise it’s one half of a solution. My opinion is that if your freedoms prevent you from receiving the vaccine, then you’re free to use your car and experience America’s many miles of beautiful roadways.

Support this 100%. This isn’t some shadowy list that people land on for reasons unknown, it’s people convicted of crimes in flight. I don’t think it’s any stretch at all to say you give up your privileges to fly after pulling stunts like that.
