What kind of Star Wars movie gives us a great battle at the start then spends the rest of the movie lecturing us about why we shouldn’t have enjoyed it?

He’s only a minor officer in the sense that Luke Skywalker was a newbie pilot. He was the guy who destroyed the Star Killer base. He was of the same rank as Luke in ESB. The resistance is not the empire, with a strict hierarchy, and in any case, the resistance was ALREADY DEAD. What was left to do but help as many

Luke just dies because, what, he’s tired of living?

That’s not what I remember. Poe’s refusal to obey orders saved the entire alliance. If Poe hadn’t pressed the attack, the dreadnought would have destroyed the cruiser. The whole time-dilemma during that battle was that Rose’s sister had to drop the bombs before the dreadnought fired on the cruiser.

It seems like the smaller ships were able to come and go, why didn’t they start evacuating personnel in the smaller ships and hyperspacing them somewhere else. Also, what kind of Star Wars transports aren’t light-speed capable? It was a truly dumb plan. And any officer worth their salt does not care where good ideas

As I read it, Poe’s attack on the Dreadnought saved everybody. It was just about to blow the last remaining rebel cruiser to shit. The time-based tension of Rose’s sister dropping the bombs was all about her having to do it before the cruiser got blown up. If Poe hadn’t pressed on with the attack, the entire rebellion

I do wonder how code breakey guy knew about the transports. Finn and Rose didn’t know about that plan, so they sure didn’t tell him.

Tarkin tracks the Falcon through hyperspace in Ep4 purely by planting a tracking device on it. A mole could easily build a tracking device or smuggle one on board the cruiser. This in itself is a big plot hole hole in Ep 4 - Leia knows they’re being tracked, yet they don’t stop off and get the tracking device removed

Literally nobody is saying that.

There’s no real moral to Carl’s injury.

Well yeah, but Q was a tit.

Did IQs just drop sharply while I was away?

Does the movie end with them driving the Mystery Machine off a cliff?

They even talked about the fact that they’d been “benched”

Maybe they just jumped into the prime timeline from some other timeline.

That sounds dirtier than it probably is...

I lost it when half a dozen half-melted walkers managed to bring down a fucking tiger. The rest was just bonus bollocks.

I must admit I wondered in what way was she the goddess of death exactly? I mean, she kills a lot of people, but then so do many villains. Just being good at killing people can’t be enough to qualify you surely? Now, if she could just think people dead, that would be something.
