One was also from another universe. I wonder if that got any press attention.

I always thought she was a bit precious. She’s a massive Tory. Ain’t nobody got time for that.

I seem to remember from my childhood some rule about there always having to be multiple-of-twos nacelles on a federation ship. Something to do with the warp bubble. Maybe from the old Starfleet manual or something. I remember thinking at the time that the Enterprise-D future-refit broke that rule.

Thing is, any logical starship designed to carry humans would just be a box. Every floor has to be human-sized, curves and wedges are wasted space, and streamlining is unnecessary. Really, what you want is some sort of cube-like object.

“The only ship in the sector” is an age old trekker trope that was always ridiculous

Even your recap sounds fucking awful. No way am I ever watching this show.

It’s the movie refit Enterprise for me - she’s just beautiful from every angle. I think part of the appeal is that it feels like the engineering section is suspended from the saucer and nacelles, rather than it propping them up. It gives the design a sense of weight.

This is the point. New technology now is generally complex, interactive. It didn’t take long to learn how to operate a TV in 1954. My grand-dad however struggled with the concept of a remote control. An ipad would have blown his mind.

Anybody is working class who can be fired.

Yet the guy who did focus on white working glass votes got elected. Interesting bit of cognitive dissonance. To effect change, first it is necessary to get elected.

Nobody was responsible for Hillary Clinton’s failure other than Hillary Clinton.

The chances of Trump getting elected were, at one point, extraordinarily small.

Obnoxious maybe, but how is it unhelpful? I doubt he’s reading Jez in his padded cell. How would he scroll down with his straight-jacket on?

God, stop! etc.

No, but they have only a small fraction of the problematicicity they would otherwise.

Even as a novel, the bible would be garbage. Full of plot holes.

This is my big problem with the Flash. Half the problems they have is because somebody didn’t trust their compatriots and kept a secret for poorly thought out reasons.

Also, Miles O’Brien and Julian Bashir.

I’ve a suspicion that at some point we’ll get a reveal where the park is in an asteroid, or on the moon, or maybe a space station or similar.
