I have several friends who bought a living room set for a room way too small. I commented and one told me, "Have you sat in that chair?" It was an amazing comfortable chair but everything in the room was touching. It's the reason I despise coffee tables. I find they take up too much room and end up being a magnet

A lot of the suggestions involve people remembering to silence their phones in situations and assuming their inconsiderate assholes for not doing it. People forget. Of course in places like live events or movie theaters where there is a giant screen reminding you and it still happens... those people are assholes.

I'm a movie guy so if I have to weigh my free time. Let's say I have ten hours of free time in a week (I'm just making up numbers). I can read one book or watch five movies. If the odds were 50/50 of me liking/hating something at the end of the week I'll see a minimum of two movies I liked (and one I half liked)

You had one job...

I never considered myself a reader but someone pointed out a read a ton of stuff, just not books. The internet, articles, encyclopedia entries, etc.

I always list my skills followed by the places I worked. If you do the same thing from job to job you essentially repeat yourself at every new position. I watched a show last week and they advised when asked, "Do you have any questions for us?" you answer with, "Is there any reason you wouldn't hire me?" At this

This is like questioning if Michael Jackson molested those kids at a sleepover when the question somebody should have asked is why is Micheal Jackson having a sleepover with children?

My daughter is two and I keep my car immaculate. One day I removed the car seat and found about a box worth of Cheerios that had been collecting there for months.

We have what I call, for lack of a better word, a kid kennel. It's a folding gate that opens into a square or whatever shape you decide to make out of it. It literally on the box said "For Kids or Dogs."

This is a good idea because I buy the smallest tube I can find with the assumption I'll use it once and throw the rest out.

I ran XBMC for years on a Windows PC with emulators. Last year Ouya had a special for the console for $60. The same price as an Xbox game. I've got XBMC on it in kiosk mode so it's all I see when I boot. I have Flirc for my Logitech remote control. When I want emulators, I exit to the dashboard, boot my arcade

I used to have these issues and went to OpenELEC. Windows isn't even on that box anymore and it eliminates a lot of the headaches I had.

I got mine last Wednesday and LOVE it. Ironically I had the original one from release and monkeyed with it for a few days and threw it in a corner and decided to break it out last weekend. It was acceptable as a media center but not great. I ordered the Rasp Pi B+ on Amazon and ten minutes later saw the post for

I'll do you one better. I may be misquoting but I think someone asked Billy Wilder (genius in his own right) what makes a good film. He replied, "Three great scenes. No bad ones."

For 95% of people, unless you're a power user, I always found it gets the job done and doesn't cost $150. If you're using specialized formatting and elaborate formulas I wouldn't trust it but most people just want to do a little writing, some spell checking and maybe some math in a few cells. Job done.

I've written screenplays. I found years ago the easiest way to be a better writer is by watching a lot of bad movies. It's a lot harder to watch a good movie and know what makes it good than to watch a bad movie and know what makes it bad.

I'm with you. I'm almost OCD about it. I delete text messages, voice mails and emails from my Inbox when I'm done with them. Stuff has a folder it belongs in and sometimes that folder is the trash. I'm the same way about my surroundings. My wife is complete chaos. She loses things constantly and has probably 100

I've only seen Rebel Wilson in the small part she had as Kristen Wiig's roommate in Bridesmaids and her sitcom Super Fun Night, neither of which I thought she was playing to the fat person stereotype.

I'm totally with you. My wife and I love McCarthy on her show (although that last season they've made her insane) but in her movies she essentially playing the Chris Farley part (I'm fat, uncouth and sloppy). She's much better than that but you know, it pays the bills. How many other overweight women over forty are

Feig's only made one movie with Wiig. He's made three movies with McCarthy (oen of which hasn't even been released) and her last four movies averaged $106m at the box office. Will Ferrell doesn't have that average. Hitching your wagon to her is a license to print money. I don't blame him.
