You'll get eggs and like it!
Code Veronica
I started watching this on TV while in college, got surprisingly hooked, but then had to leave to take a test before the third act. Weirdly, the lack of closure on this movie has been in the back of my mind ever since. You couldn’t on demand anything back then, so I had missed my chance for years and years. Maybe…
If you buy this you are an idiot.
It seems fair to me. I have a family of four, so it’s $30 just for tickets to a movie. I’d actually pay a premium to not have to go to the theater. So making it cheaper than that is good enough for me.
A bold move. And when making a bold move you want to lead strong with a beloved IP like Trolls World Tour.
Fun write up and good to read, but it’s not a review.
They should have gone with your idea and took the risk that some might not find it exciting enough. Instead it’s all about the pew pew pew.
Came here to post this. Season 1 was very good, but Season 2 sucked. Halfway through it legit felt like a chore to watch. I think they ran out of story after Season 1.
5 clicks up from trailer trash is pretty good in my neighborhood.
You could argue that young Indy was out more for himself. In ToD he several times references, “fortune and glory” as his motivation. By the end of the film Indy of course chooses a more altruistic path, showing the character maturing a bit.
In Indiana Jones it's absolutely perfect.
He also has a wonderful look on his face when he gets hit that life is just not fair. There's a wonderful drop of self pity in Ford's expression that is so funny and relatable.
YES. I grew up with Ford as Indy, but I would much prefer a new younger actor.
Although maybe the most iconic shot of Indy, zoom in to Ford’s face when he is standing on the rickety bridge with enemies closing in, is ToD.
I still love ToD.
Great to hear of a new IP going with the “WEGO” format (as in, instead of You go, then I go, “We” go at the same time each turn), but it’s nothing new. The Combat Mission series, a hardcore grognard WW II combat sim if there ever was one, has been using WEGO for 20 years now.
This is a weird gripe for me, actually. I don’t like that the Jedi are folded into the normal military command structure, and that they are all made high ranking officers. Even Ahsoka in the show as a kid w/out rank regularly is able to order around platoons of clone troopers.
So I’m just watching this series for the first time. I’m about 6 episodes in and I really like it. The plots in particular are very interesting and the animation style mostly holds up. My one criticism is that the Separatist battle droids are a complete joke. They are completely incompetent and are more comic relief…
