I have not seen it, but I watched the series. I’m guessing a lot of the significance of El Camino will be lost on you since you have not watched the series. The movies sounds like a continuation of several of the characters from the show, picking up where they left off.

Yeah, the spikes are purely rule of cool. I can’t think of any practical use against zombie hordes, it’s much more likely they’d be a hindrance. 

I disagree for the reasons others have posted below, but I do want to thank you for starting a debate about what ancient military formations would work best against zombie hordes. This is the discussion I didn’t know I needed. 

Once you get ready to play a major power, I’d recommend Italy. They were a weak power for real in WW II, but in HOI they have quite a few geographical advantages that you can take advantage of once you straighten out their armed forces. To this day Italy is the only faction that I’ve won the game with.

China has a surprisingly involved history of martial arts and physical education masters starting organizations that lead to or spark public unrest that results in massive civil unrest.
