The problem is that because so many people think they NEED AWD it’s often harder to find a car that comes in an AWD version in the non-AWD version in places like NJ (or PA, where I live), especially with SUVs. I knew I didn’t need AWD when I was looking for my most recent car but most dealers would stock over half

I wouldn’t count out Regina King. They clearly liked Watchmen a lot and she is the heart and soul of that show.

It’s certainly not amazing, but it did get better as the season went on. I went from forcing myself to watch it just for Baby Yoda in episode one to actively being excited for a second season after watching the season finale.

Maisel gets so many noms because it’s one of the few period comedy shows on the Emmy radar. Even though they do split some of the categories into period and contemporary, its tech/make-up/costuming/hairstyling all stand out among it’s mostly present-set competition when they don’t.

I’m a lawyer and not doing what you describe would be grounds for malpractice. There are some statutes that come into play often that I have basically memorized, but I always look them up because exact wording matters.

Fully agree. Like they definitely have the legal upper hand here, but if they were changing the name to show solidarity, using the legal system to your advantage to literally strip a black woman of her name is not how to do it.

I mean the plan could have been to get India solidly on board so that they could then make Mariah feel safe enough to vote with them. Mariah likely wouldn’t have wanted to risk voting for Shea over India unless she could be sure there were enough votes to keep her safe.

I want to fully believe Alexis, especially since India lying makes more sense. She has already proven she could be shady last week when she was throwing Mayhem under the bus (despite the fact that it was totally unnecessary as it was clear to all the queens that Mayhem had given up, which is the cardinal sin in Drag

Oh I mean she still could have been a lot better, I’m just saying the most recent stuff that would have seemed like an obvious go-to wasn’t really that widely discussed yet. Like there have always been rumors about Ellen’s shitty behavior towards employees out there, but they didn’t really blow up until after the

Wow. Also your post reminded me how the confederate flag is also one of the Six Flags at Six Flags, which seems fully wild to me and I don’t understand why it’s not brought up in conversations about Mississippi and confederate statues. It’s one thing for a racist state to be racist, but like Six Flags is a global

Sure, but that’s the case industry-wide. I briefly worked in the mailroom of a major talent agency and almost everyone of my colleagues (including myself) came from privileged backgrounds, because we could afford to take a job that paid minimum wage (and only slightly more than that one you were “promoted” to an

Also, to be fair to Blair, I’m pretty sure this was filmed before a lot of the stuff about Ellen became widely known and before the time she went to the football game with the Bushes.

Apparently, Ellie Kemper was the Veiled Prophet Queen one year. I guess Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt wasn’t her first time at the weird patriarchal sex cult rodeo.

Pretty sure she thought he would lose, like most of us did. Given the ugly history between her side of the family and his (lengthy court battles, complete rejection and ignorance of her father which led to his death, and Trump’s general awfulness) I could see why she would want to expose herself to that when it

I wouldn’t go so far as to say Gigi’s looks were limited. They were always polished and well-done, but I do agree that there was always something missing for her. I don’t know if it’s because I felt like her resources meant she should be held to a higher standard than just having well-executed looks. It’s kind of how

I disagree on Jaida’s second lipsync. Not all drag queens are art directors or have the resources (or, honestly, access to materials, given COVID lockdowns) or skills to stage elaborate things like what Crystal and Gigi did. It’s not like drag queens in the real world typically get much input into their staging setups

He’s still wearing plenty of makeup when he appears on the show out of drag. Also, I mean he’s not dumb, he knew we would all clock what’s up, but he’d rather not appear without his face beat. I get it.

Yeah, she could have just said something generic like other top female artists do the same shit and I’m singled out and left it at that instead of naming names.

She could have made the same comment without throwing out names of almost all POC women and it would have been fine. Just say something like plenty of popular artists have songs about shit yet I seem to be the one singled out for criticism. We still would have all known what she meant and it wouldn’t have undermined

I totally agree with this. Mayo makes better looking and crispier sandwiches, but with something as simple as a grilled cheese, the fat you cook it in has to contribute to the flavor or else it just ends up tasting like unpleasantly greasy bread. I’m willing to sacrifice that perfect texture you can get with mayo
