That’s a legit argument, especially about the precedent we would be setting by not impeaching. I think at a certain point going all the way down the line might be pushing our hand a bit too much, but I get where you are coming from.

Peck probably went too far, but that’s sort of his schtick and also I get what he was going for (being extra to contrast his performance of his homosexuality with Pete’s more respectable, buttoned-up version), but I do think people are way too protective of Pete when it comes to discussing his homosexuality and it

Yeah, once cancer or something else is ruled out many doctors/insurance companies are just like ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

A lot of these conditions aren’t life-threatening and unless you see a specialist like Dr. PP who knows how to treat this shit many doctors will just say meh its not cancer sorry just deal with it or do a half-assed treatment that only temporarily alleviates the problem. Also, if you don’t have good insurance, because

Sort of. But like at this point its not like hearings are going to change the political calculus at all. It’s not like there are going to be new revelations coming out. Also, there really isn’t much of a solution they have to the Trump administration’s refusal to comply with subpoenas. Being held in contempt of

That would be nice. Too bad Democrats only control half of one branch of the government and Republicans control everything else.

It’s not even that. For example, I would never donate to Joe Manchin even if I could afford it. I’m glad he’s there, but he’s barely on our team, especially when it counts. I would donate to an even crazier Republican than Mitch if that Republican had a legit chance of beating McConnell in the primaries solely because

To be fair a lot of “Jezebel’s” political articles are re-posts from Splinter, where anyone but Bernie or Warren (who, to be fair, has my vote so far) isn’t liberal/progressive enough.

The best viable alternative would be a Republican challenger (unlike any other Republican senator, getting rid of Mitch is that important), but I will take Amy McGrath or even a Democratic challenger who makes Joe Manchin look like AOC any day if it means unseating him.

McConnell is far more shameless (and also a lot smarter, at least in terms of his role) than most Republicans senior enough to replace him. Mitch has been able to hold his caucus mostly in line through skills and experience and relationships that most of his possible replacements don’t have.

I agree, and I say this as someone who typically hates blue dogs. McConnell’s seniority and power in the Senate and the relative lack of power his replacement would have makes this kind of compromise so much easier. Even another Republican would be better than Mitch.

I would in a heartbeat if it meant removing McConnell. Hell, I would donate to a whacko Republican primary challenger I disagree with completely if they had a solid chance of beating Mitch in the primary. I don’t think any of his potential replacements would be able to operate as shamelessly and ruthlessly as he has

Seriously. I would take Mitch getting taken down by a crazy wing-nut Trumpista Republican in a primary any day because his replacement wouldn’t get to be Senate Majority Leader or really have any legit power beyond being a Republican vote, which would have otherwise already existed in a far more harmful way with

I mean I would take a crazy Republican challenger unseating Mitch at this point. It wouldn’t change the political calculus in terms of Senate votes, but it would require Republicans to pick a new Senate majority leader, and even among the horrors that could rise to that position, I doubt his replacement would be as

I agree with not being complacent and all of the many ways we could screw this up, but Nolan is right that on paper, its the Democrats to lose, simply based on the voting results in 2016 and 2018. We would have won in 2016 if we had even remotely the turn out we had in MI/PA/WI (which we lost by less than 100,000

Its insane to me that leather isn’t a standard option on 5 series and E class models. I get that there are some fans of the vinyl seats whatever they are called, but leather should be a no-cost option for cars starting at that price.

A shockingly high percentage of his supporters are black than other candidates (including, I think, Harris). Maybe its because they are more moderate or maybe because he’s more familiar to black Democrats or maybe its just Obama afterglow, but he is not lacking for support from black Democrats.

I’m not so sure. A lot of Biden’s lead is mostly people thinking he is the “most electable” and being the safe space for the moderate Democrat voters. His performance on Thursday wasn’t the typical gaffe-prone Uncle Joe who usually gets away with anything. He was out of touch and also kind of seemed out of it, which

At least a couple Pritzker’s signed on to the letter from 18 billionaires (including Abigail Disney and George Soros) to 2020 Presidential Candidates advocating for a wealth tax. There was an anonymous 18th signatory. It could be him for all we know.

I know this never happens, and there are many opportunities for Pritzker to show his true colors but Pritzker could be an example of a guy rich enough not to give a fuck about special interests. I mean liberal tax policies would certainly hurt his bottom line, but he’d still be hella rich and just because he’s rich
