You can try to look for newer races. They tend to be smaller, because they don’t have a following yet, which often means a less crowded course. The tradeoff is that they’re often a little less organized, because the organizers don’t have as much practice running the event, so you can run into stuff like not enough

If you are running that far all ready, go for a half. I live in the Twin Cities and we have everything from huge international races to ones with a few hundred runners. Good luck finding a race that works for you.

I’m not a runner. And, at thirty, working most jobs standing on my feet has taken a toll on my knees. But! I’ve started to work out and have actually started to see my figure slimming down! I’m so excited! I went from a size 20/18 to a 16/14 (depending on the brand). I’ve actually got the hour glass figure going on.

Sign up for a half marathon. You’ll see all different shapes and sizes and it’s very inspiring. I am a chubby runner, and I didn’t feel conscious at all. 30 miles is awesome! I don’t know where you live, but the Long Beach CA is a good one (I’ve done it twice. If you like wine, they have a central California coast

That is very impressive. Try New Orleans because it’s low and flat. Weather should be decent in April?

Hello fellow runners. I ran a 25k trail race this morning. It was hot, and I was slow, but it was a good experience.

I did the women’s mini marathon (10km) in my city a few times and I was very nervous and hesitant about it the first time but my friend was doing it and I wanted a concrete exercise goal(I have a chronic illness so exercise is really patchy for me) and it was just SUCH a lovely vibe. My longest training run was 8km

Yes, I run half marathons about two or three times a year. If you’re running 30 miles a week, you will be fine. Incorporate a long run and book a race 4 months out. I follow a training schedule with hill repeats, sprint workouts and a long run. I made this up after years of running halves and found what works for me.

I’ve been trying to get back into the rhythm of working out, and downloaded the moves app to my phone. It’s helping me with getting up and moving more in general, and the warmer weather has me getting outside more.

I’m not a runner and have never done that but I think it’s an excellent idea. If you’re into challenges and a trip to place you’d like to go to is an additional bonus, GO FOR IT.

I GOT INTO GRAD SCHOOL HOLY SHIT I’M GOING TO LONDON IN SEPTEMBER!!!!

OMG THANKS FOR ASKING.

(why he even brings the thunder)

It’s like health care is....complicated or something!

That’s only true in reality.....Not in Trump’s alternative fact based reality

Shocking. Walking away from a health care proposal for the third largest country on earth is not the same as walking away from a real estate property.

I definitely watched. Ted Mosbius (because it was clearly him and not Ted Mosby) was always fun to watch roleplay. I just needed 1 more hit. I should have known it would be shut down with AnnaSophia Robb in it. Major bummer! If Finding Your Roots is off PBS for good too I don’t know how I’ll go on. I swear I keep my

All cases should be taken seriously and have the needed time and resources dedicated to investigation. However, as the MPD and other officials have noted, there is not a random uptick in cases plaguing DC. In fact, statistically the number is lower than in previous years. I live in the DMV and the media coverage has

Their romance is super hot, I really dug this show.

Aw, dammit. I didn’t know Mercy Street was cancelled. I wanted to know what happens to the fucked up Southern family. And if hot doctor and Boston nurse got together. And I enjoyed British nurse’s drinking and scheming.
