Yea but school isn't a professional environment. It's largely social in a time when kids need social interaction to figure out exactly who they are. For many kids, school is the only time they get any social interaction outside of their family circle and clothing is a big part of that social interaction.

It doesn't always make me angry but when I am trapped in close quarters with an extremely unpleasant noise that I have absolutely no reason or desire to be accustomed to, I get not only angry but very uncomfortable and anxious. Just as I would with any piercing noise such as a fire alarm or air-horn.
