The 787 has some systems that, to an extent, work that way.

NOx emissions are reduced as well. Burning less fuel per mile and emitting less nasty shit per pound of fuel burned. It’s not just the engine itself that’s advancing either - the industry is moving to higher efficiency systems to reduce power drawn from the engine. Lighter weight on pretty much everything to reduce

It’s wumpus crying about the 944 not being driven

Easy fix for this would be to just not allow matches beyond a certain mmr discrepancy.

No, because of the quality systems in place in the aerospace industry. Driving quality into the process has a direct impact on improving worker safety. The safety of the people building and maintaining hardware is a major factor in both the design of product and its

Thanks for the reply. Do you guys do the crash testing for someone in the wheelchair? I just can’t imagine that going very well without some kind of additional support for their upper body.

This is something I could stand behind

That’d be a cool special to see here. Should convince the jalop dudes to follow up, or pay you to do it for them. Would like to see more content on here about various engineering challenges in the industry, even if it’s for low-volume stuff like accessible vehicles.

Tom, have you or one of the other writers done a special on vehicles that are modified like this? Interested in the engineering challenges involved in installing & operating the ramp. Also interested in the options for where the wheelchair goes once in the vehicle. Do you have to move from the wheelchair to a car

Front end was contained and yet the back still went for the nearest grouping of bystanders

This is not universally true. Many games tie their physics engine into the frame rate. Some actually base certain mechanics on frames as well. In dark Souls, for example, your immunity while rolling is frame-based, not time-based. By going from 30 fps to 60 fps, you reduce your timing window by half (animations are

I feel strongly that you cannot go wrong buying these cars, assuming you just want something that’s going to be reasonably nice and run 5ever.

Never said they were in wholly equivalent situations, but in both cases it’s people being kept from their families or homes. Obviously the refugees are in a horrible spot, but I’m not sure why that’s so awful to empathize with or offer a service to the people that perceive that they don’t have a few hours to spare at

That wasn’t directed at the people protesting, it was a directed towards the idea of just waiting around at the airport doing literally nothing and thinking that it’s a show of solidarity or something.

Joining the protest would absolutely be helping. Sitting around not doing shit and just waiting for the cab drivers to get off strike is absolutely not helping.

It doesn’t matter what the duration is. While I fully support the strike and think Trump’s order is appalling, I’m sure there were some people that had a legitimate need to get somewhere ASAP. I don’t see how uber offering help to people that might need it is so awful. You can’t paint everything as black and white.

Thanks for working through the math on that one. Is it really that hard to rationalize that some people at that airport have don’t have an hour they think they can spare, whether it’s a family emergency or whatever? I don’t see how uber offering rides to people that might actually need it is such a heinous act.

You’re upset about certain people being stuck at an airport, and yet feeling no sympathy for other people stuck at an airport? 🤔

The only people doing their moral duty were the lawyers getting those poor guys out of the mess Trump caused. Sitting around at an airport to “join the cause” is basically just this
