That's quite a lineup. I found myself thinking the same thing with regard to Doug's assessment. The old man needs to put his big boy pants on and learn to drive his 360. Can't expect to get a good feel for a car when it's substantially faster than something you already aren't capable of pushing. The racetrack is great

I've got a c6z as my only car. I live in northern Illinois so our winters can get a little rough. I get a lot of weird looks when I'm driving it through the snow. It makes ~570whp NA and will spin in 4th on the winters even when it's dry. Still handles well enough to make driving enjoyable on the warmer winter days

That seems like a lot of screws. Was your bone in that many pieces?

Ya the R888s in cold temp are some sketchy shit. They're fine in wet conditions but they really don't find their grip until it's 80F and sunny on the blacktop. That said, they still grip better than any summers I've driven on in similar dry conditions, even before they're up to temp. Ended up with them because the 335

Ya that's not really "winter," you could probably get by with summers year round. I've driven those R888s in 30F with snow flurries. Illinois spring will go from 60F one day to 30F the next. Pretty much once it's warm enough that the snow won't stick and there won't be ice, the summers go on.

All-season tires. The idea is that they provide a tire suitable for all conditions. None of them actually deliver on that promise - instead they offer a performance compromise that results in decreased summer performance but still isn't suitable for winter conditions.

let us pray that Maldonado gives them a ride back from the event

Is it too soon to make jokes about a fiery death and Paul Walker?

Probably leaking oil after a racing incident with Maldonado.

Went with a widow-r cam from vette-air since from the dynos I had seen it resulted in a really solid midrange, which I wanted for autox. Been pleased with how it drives at the track so far.

The exhaust valve paranoia got the best of me and I had the heads done pretty much immediately after buying the car. And since the heads were off, might as well port them and do an intake and cam and then I needed a new clutch to hold the power and might as well do an aluminum flywheel while we're in there. All

I weep for those who live in the squalor that is life without an LS7.

Now playing

Glad to see more autocross on Jalop, surprised it isn't a weekly thing. Obviously Miata continues to be the answer here, but you can pretty much autocross anything that won't roll over (things like most SUV's and the Fiat 500).
