Two hours of just giant monsters punching each other would, believe it or not, get pretty boring real fast.

Umm, the history of almost every kaiju movie ever made disagrees with you. You need some humans at least to be the perspective character, provide narration, and have at least some semblance of a plot.
Sorry, I know you may be doing a bit, but I get a bit annoyed by people who seem to sincerely believe that the only…
As long as were nitpicking the video:
Gotta well, actually a bit on this one. Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure is not “an adaptation of the lovable kids’ show.”
You all like her now, but when she eventually turns into a toothy vagina insect thing, about 20% of you will be turned off.

Y’all have your permits for May?
God bless you, giant woman. Healing our land through thirst.
To me, one of the weakest parts of the movie is how much it relies on hand-waving “magic!” but fails to establish any of the internal logic for how any of it works.
The “cost” of Diana’s wish (Steve returning) is very clearly shown in the movie to be the diminishment of Diana’s powers. The Monkey Paw of Steve coming back is not him inhabiting someone else’s body. It’s Diana losing her strength. That is outright stated in the film.
Exactly! Him possessing a guy didn’t really add anything to the story anyway. She makes a wish, he gets a new body, his soul is in it, bing bam boom. It felt so arbitrary and poorly thought out.
It’s really telling that they make a point of saying he’s single, (“lots of pictures of himself” so none of loved ones) which means they GET how weird the concept was.
Also...why did Steve’s soul have to take over someone else’s body? There’s no reason in the film to think the Dreamstone couldn’t just reconstitute Steve in his own, fresh body. We’re never shown that such a limitation exists, it’s so weird to have decided the best way to incorporate Steve was to have him inhabit some…
FWIW, it’s starting to look like you are trying too hard to overlook some obvious shortcomings. lol
I assumed at the end they were gonna have everyone collectively forget that all this stuff happened, that way Wonder Woman’s absence from the world between WW1 and BvS could be explained...and heck, maybe that was the intention, as nobody SEEMS to be the least bit traumatized or shell-shocked by the near armageddon…
There was a greater DCEU connection, subtle for sure.
