Fallout 3.6: Not Great, Not Horrible
Fallout 3.6: Not Great, Not Horrible
No mention of Gargoyles? Boo!
All this for someone who cannot act.
Oh this one is easy: Fallon is softball host who does inane things on camera and never, ever does anything remotely intellectually challenging which means celebs shilling projects know they’ll come away looking good. He’s a tool, and everyone (but him) knows he’s a tool.
It also works because the others are in on the joke. Look at Day once Gardner starts to break. He doubles down. He’s trying to make her laugh. He’s in on it, and that’s what makes it so funny, because Gardner wants to keep her cool and keep the sketch going, but Day won’t let her.
There was a pretty good found footage mockumentary that came out the year before Blair Witch, called “The Last Broadcast.” It bore a lot of similarities, being about a film crew who were murdered in the woods while investigating the Jersey Devil.
And then they rushed out episode 5, which was nothing more than an hour long victory lap, hastily assembled to capitalize on all the press around the initial four episode series.
What book(s) would you recommend? I’ve seen the five part espn doc but would love to dive deeper into the case and the trial.
There are so many things about the Italy trip I love, but I think my favorite, was Schlansky discovering how much Conan is annoyed by the sound of a wine glass on a granite counter top, and proceeding to fuck with him for the whole segment.
Just keep Frieberg and Seltzer the fuck away...
Thoughts and prayers for his victims.
It would make for a great double feature with with the film
I’d like to put Oyler in a room with Lena Dunham, and livestream what happens.
I wish Coppola would take a page from Taylor Swift, who did an end around the distributors, and engaged directly with theater chains. Coppola I bet could do the same. He certainly has the name recognition and the starpower behind him, and the big theaters would likely love to deal directly as they would get a better…
I don’t think there is any right or wrong here. It comes down to what scares you. For some people, the primal scares of The Blair Witch Project - being lost, cold, alone in the dark, feeling chased, watched - feel very real and visceral. For others it can seem silly. I think both views are valid.
I still remember watching the Curse of the Blair Witch on SciFi, back before it was widely known the movie was a mockumentary. I thought it was real, and watching that doc absolutely freaked me out.
Stuffed full of walnuts and acorns so they won’t need to buy concessions.
Found Brendanawicz everybody!
