It’s not really stealing public money. It’s really more like Georgia isn’t demanding as much in taxes. As far as the state is concerned, in the long term they’ll theoretically get more revenue from the larger economy a new factory is supposed to create.
A big problem behind getting the current factory up to speed is the chip shortage and other supply chain woes. Eventually this issue will get resolved, so in the meantime they might as well continue to execute on their long term strategy to build out their model offerings (R2T R2S etc). With how much money youtubers can make doing stupid shit like this, the relatively small fines allowed by law are clearly no longer a deterrent. It may be time to consider a law that allows for the seizure of earnings from posting videos of such activity.
