Yeah, the owners are insufferable, but they really are worth it.

Pretty on brand for the company that gave us the Pulsar.
The other reason I won’t be getting it is because at some point you reach a certain age and you don’t require anything more than a clean, well-made vodka.
They should set this up so it will only let you drive 5 mph without the belt so you can move the car in and out of the garage. Mechanics would especially appreciate this.
You do, but just how superior you become does require filling out a form. Most of the questions have words like “air-cooled” “manual” “GT” and “Turbo” in them.
Fair point. I wasn’t thinking about malaise era engineering efforts (or lack thereof), but then again I try not to think about Big 3 cars from that period anyway.
It also makes the car dangerously unstable at speed.
It’ll go from 40 mph to 0 mph fast enough to throw someone overboard if you’re not careful.
Most modifications tend to be a compromise. Want to improve the road handling by lowering the suspension? Compromise comfort. Wan’t more power? Kiss your MPGs goodbye. There are exceptions, of course, but automakers spend billions to engineer a car that makes the best compromises it can so any deviation we make with ou…
Surely he must have had a cup lying around.
It’s annoying but you have to click on “pending” and then “show pending” when the grey banner pops up. Full Kinja going on here.
Another reminder that the malaise era lasted a lot longer than people think.
There is absolutely nothing dope about that Fiero. It looks like shit, needs work, no look at what is likely a trashed interior and is powered by one of GM’s most maligned engines. All for the ridiculous price of $2500. No Dice.
I can see some folks trying to decide if they want the 86 and money left over for mods or keeping a 400Z stock, but that is probably a tiny group.
Not to mention the 370, 350, and 300zx.
“Quality of finishings on the interior was really crappy.”
How hard is it to find an empty parking lot somewhere?!
I’ve driven one and I still think it needed a little bump in power. It doesn’t need much but an extra 20 hp further down in the power band would have made the power a bit more usable.
My math is probably off but I think you would hit the ground at a little over 36mph from that height.
I don’t understand why they would do the crew transfer to/from Orion near the moon. Why not do it in LEO and ride Starship the rest of the way?
