I’m not telling anyone to buy it or not buy it. I’m critiquing a game whose original I played and liked things about, just liked I played this version and, as I pretty clearly said, liked things about it. I also found some things about it asinine. *shrug*

Are you suggesting that a game reviewer shouldn’t give negative reviews? Because that’s what it sounds like.

I have some pretty big ontological questions about framerates and patches.

They are suing reporters instead of fixing their own culture. I was looking forward to this game too. Hard pass now

“Do we want to talk about homophobia?” Cage told the paper. “We work with Ellen Page, who is fighting for LGBT rights. Do we want to talk about racism? We are working with Jesse Williams, who is fighting for civil rights in the United States... Judge my work.”

As I pointed out in the piece, that’s already happening. The only reason that big game companies haven’t outsourced EVERY aspect of game development is because the talent isn’t there. This is a rally interesting observation.

I’ve been in the game industry for 30+ years. I don’t like talking about specifics online, but I’m going to break that rule today.

No real embargo but we didn’t get access to the game until servers went live at launch. This means I need a little more time to play through the game and see everything it has to offer. I’ll have a proper review in the next week or two depending on certain factors.

The plotting itself in Act 2 was pointless. What Rian Johnson was trying to do (I’m not sure I totally agree with his decisions) was take the usual harebrained Star Wars convoluted Hail Mary hero plan and make it fail. And fail spectacularly.
