Forbes changed her estimated net worth from $4.5 billion to “nothing.”

Glossier, the skincare and makeup brand for the chill and causal girl with perfect skin...”

I know makeup because I love it. So I don’t have to squint to detect a full, complete face of makeup.

It also takes the same amount of time, money, and skill to apply natural looking makeup as a more dramatic look. Which doesn’t mean women shouldn’t do it if they want to, but I think fetishizing natural looking makeup as no makeup tends to erase some of that effort.

Yeah, this is annoying me because OBVIOUSLY Kim is wearing make up. Like, duh.

I mean, if you’re talking about Kim Kardashian, she’s sure as shit wearing makeup. But more importantly, if celebrities insist that they’re not wearing makeup when they almost certainly are, it creates an impossible beauty standard whereby average women are expected to look flawless without any sort of corrective aid.

why? If a woman says she’s wearing a no makeup look when she’s clearly wearing makeup it’s, at the very minimum, creating unnatural beauty standards.

I think that’s why the headline says “PSA” and not “Breaking news”. And it seems like it’s not something they’ve always done, based on my experience and other comments here.

I feel hypocritically ambivalent about this: I received 4 products for free / almost free through one such program — and I really did try to leave honest reviews as if I had bought the item — but I looked doubtfully on products with a high concentration of such reviews.

I’m glad he finally confirmed my suspicions! I was shocked at first to learn her identity, but after I went back and reread her books, I realized that Elena Ferrante’s writing style was exactly like Ashley Feinberg’s.

Me too, but sometimes even that doesn’t work. It got to the point that I don’t take any 5 star reviews seriously and focus on the middling reviews (if there are any). And red flags go up if there are nothing but 5 star reviews and 1 and 2 star reviews.

Ah thanks for the info, I wasn’t too sure how people were getting the products. Anything through Amazon/codes/promos they’d definitely be able catch and stop.

It’s about time! Those incentivized reviews were threatening to make product reviews completely useless to customers.

This makes me happy. I hated having to slog through all the “I’m providing this review in exchange for the bribery of receiving reviewed thing for nothing” crap that sometimes seemed to be the ONLY reviews for a product.

I’m not gonna tell you guys how to do your jobs, but...

Joe Biden is the fucking man.

Carrying around millions of dollars of jewelry when going to something like a Parisian fashion week isn’t all that unusual if that’s the kind of jewelry you own. People also bring hundreds of thousands of dollars of couture from previous seasons and other luxury items. For once, you’re going to be seen by people who

who the fuck cares? it was her jewelry, she owned it, and she is entitled to wear it wherever the fuck she pleases. it is not a reason that she should be robbed and menaced and caused to be in fear for her life.

She’s attending Paris Fashion Week, where she knows she will be filmed, photographed, and written about. Part of her brand is being fashionable and she can’t repeat outfits. She wasn’t carrying it all around; she was robbed in her hotel room. It makes sense to me that she would travel with a lot of expensive jewelry

I went through something similar ten years ago. I was at work late at night and two men had hidden out past closing, so I had locked myself in with them. I was held at gunpoint, threatened, stripped, duct taped... It was horrific. I suffered from PTSD for 7 years afterwards and still suffer with anxiety. It fucked me
