I heard about that but haven't tried it yet. I have only beaten XCOM 2 once… I kind of wonder if I need to "settle into it" a little more before trying something like Long War 2. But then again, it's so similar to EU/EW that I might not need to…

I played through Alan Wake not all that long ago— great game! Kind of a flawed masterpiece with its own unique character, like Alpha Protocol. I did pick up American Nightmare during the sale and I'm eager to try that out at some point. I haven't quite figured out yet whether it's like a sequel or an arcade spin-off

Sad like. That UI is truly dreadful, it's true. Thanks for pointing out the "2x ESC to return from the map" thing, that was just wrong.

Cool, I seem to remember reading some good reviews of Velocity 2X on here a while back. My PS+ subscription expired a while back though, and I don't think I can justify it now since I almost never play anything on console these days…

I think I have to wait a bit before returning to XCOM 2. Well, more to the point, I am struggling not to get drawn into the Long War mod on Enemy Within— I have never done Long War before and it looks freaking insane. ("You like keeping track of 10+ different resources and mechanics? Here's 20 more. Also the existing

Yeah, this has definitely gone on my list of reasons to eventually buy a PS4. My first take on it was "OMG ROBOT DINOSAURS, AWESOME". Then the more story-based trailers I saw looked exceedingly cheesy, so I figured it was going to be kind of like Mass Effect: Andromeda with enjoyable combat but kind of dumb everywhere

Well, if you're anything like me, posting this early on WAYPTW should be a pretty good time sink fir at least one day. Let the refresh/reply cycle begin!

Excited to check this out someday, but I can't handle $80 (Canadian) for a huge long game that I won't have time to play for months. From what I've heard it sounds absolutely bonkers, which is of course a very good thing.

Cool! So, you mentioned this before about streaming more than usual because of Ramadan. What's the connection? Less time eating equals more time gaming? (sorry, I barely understand most of the Christian holidays I grew up with)

What Have You Finished This Week?

I'm finally ready to start playing Planescape: Torment in earnest, after a couple of weeks of "I'll get to it really soon." So far I have only dipped my undead toe into the hellish waters, and I've only gotten as far as moving up one level in the Mortuary to steal a key and avoid getting jacked by a crowd of Dustmen

Really, would it kill you to be a bit more known? I mean, what do we train these soldiers for?

Yeah, I talked to a few of the corpses (or rather, "at" them— they don't talk back) and there was a different description for each. Morte had some distinct wisecrack about each one. Nice details.

How'd you get those songs in there, is that just in the video or was that somehow playing in-game? (I ask because you can hear the enemies' dialogue over "We Got The Juice" etc.)

The Room 2 is pretty great (and so is the third one, for that matter— they somehow keep it pretty interesting). One of these days I will return to The Witness— once I acquired a certain something that allowed me to move around the island more easily, I was totally psyched at first but soon realized that there were way

Cool. Yeah, I am working and didn't want to fire up Battle.Net just then…

I love Alpha Protocol. Gotta go back to that one. But yeah, the plot kind of falls apart in exactly the way you say.

Anyway, I highly highly recommend Transistor. Gorgeous look, probably a better soundtrack than Bastion in my opinion, and great gameplay as discussed above. And hey, I think it's actually the same guy doing the voiceover as in Bastion, but the character/voice ("ex-lover's mind trapped in futuristic sword-weapon") is

Don't take my word for it (Steam tells me I haven't played since February 2015 so my memory is foggy), but I seem to recall that you can choose, from one fight to the next, whether to play in a more XCOM-like turn-based format or a more real-time mode. It comes down to pressing a Pause button available at certain

It's like Gandhi said (according to that one poster in my friend's dorm room): "Be the change you want to see in the world."
