Neil Peart stands alone.

Not as closely linked as The Entertainment, eh? Hmm… That was already a bit "out there"… (although still noticeably linked to the main story)

That's actually a perfect idea, as I am a language nerd and have podcasts in multiple languages (some of which I understand better than others, of course). I'm already set for a trip from Spain, through France, Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany, and into the Czech Republic…

I just went to kentuckyroutezero.com to see if there was any news on Act IV (because I like to torture myself), and I saw that page about "Here and There Along The Echo". I was wondering whether that was really KR0 content, or something else from Cardboard Computer. If it's KR0, then add that to my list for the

Yeah, I do have dreams of Skyrim for this weekend, but— as much as I would have been amused by this thought when I first heard of the game— I am mighty tempted by the thought of sitting down with a six-pack, putting on some road music, and going for a late-night DUI drive across Europe in an 18-wheeler.

Thanks, that is useful. I am indeed doing crafting whenever possible, but despite my hoarder tendencies carried over from Fallout, I have not yet accumulated enough raw materials to get that much use out of the system yet.

Heh, the first bard I ran into in Skyrim (my current WAYPTW game!), I waited until he fell asleep and then stole his lute out of his room. Whiterun guards were after me for three days for that until I became Thane and told them to leave me alone, but that was a small price to pay for silencing his irritatingly bardly

Wow, I haven't done one of these in a while. As is fitting for a guy who's always a bit behind the curve in terms of gaming, I will be continuing to scale the vast mountain that is Skyrim, which I finally picked up a couple of weeks ago. I'm a huge fan of Fallout 3 and New Vegas, and I'm loving my first Bethesda

What country are you in? There's no draft for men either in the US, Canada, Australia or the UK, nor anyplace in Europe that I know of. On the other hand, lots of women do complain (and rightly so) about not being allowed combat roles in the volunteer military, because they want to be able to serve their country in

It was pretty fun, although my girlfriend (now wife) and I were extremely broke at the time— I was teaching English for some cut-rate outfit for the equivalent of $4/hr, and my girlfriend was a grad student in photography (FAMU) so she was actually using up money.

I had to go and check whether it was a long or short "a". If it had been long, we would have been 5 for 6 in terms of accented letters.

Yes, and to enjoy that cheese, we sat on a bench, snacking away, looking at fall foliage near the water and listening to little kids playing and talking in Dutch. Nothing to make a weird foreign language sound even weirder than to hear little kids speaking it as if it were completely normal.

Fox and Friends?

When I lived in Prague, there was a beer called Měšťaň that we would buy for 60Kč (2 bucks) a six-pack. It was excellent as an anti-dandruff shampoo but not much better to drink than other anti-dandruff shampoos.

Still going strong in Quebec and Ontario. These Canadian motherfuckers just can't stop drinking cow drippings out of sacks.

False. Well, my experience is not too extensive, but I do remember having an entire 3-inch-square pot brownie on my first visit to Amsterdam, along with some mushrooms, and then I discovered the entire secret history of the universe and I think we went up to Edam to eat some cheese.

In my grocery marketing zone when I was a kid (Rochester NY), we had Count Chocula (my preferred Monster cereal) and Frankenberry whenever we wanted it, but as near as I could tell, Boo Berry was not sold in our area at all, although the eponymous ghostly mascot would appear in the commercials just to taunt us.

But not on Netflix Canada. It's that damn "Canada penalty" again.
