Note to self, use my Kindle to read Gravity's Rainbow!

Making my way through Anathem by Neal Stephenson. I never did finish Cryptonomicon (too huge and dense), and this book is larger, but the subject matter in Anathem seems more appealing to me so far— I am about 20% of the way through. The overall theme reminds me of one of my favorite novels, Nabokov's Invitation to a

If you like Margaret Atwood, have you read Oryx and Crake yet? Another incredibly depressing yet beautifully written piece of dystopian speculative fiction. I didn't feel quite as much like killing myself after Oryx and Crake as I did after Handmaid's Tale, so there's that.

I didn't buy anything either. In my case too, it was specifically because I have way too much older stuff stacked up and waiting to play. Well… also some new stuff that I was too eager to buy and so I didn't even wait for a sale. So I am cut off until I either finish like 5 more games out of my existing backlog, or

Dang, somehow missed this when it first went up. Well, first of all, the votes are in on this edition of the Gameological Game Revue Club on Steam… and we have a first-ever tie for first place! So we decided to play both of the winning games, one after the other. First up is Hotline Miami, and the discussion thread is
