The FF91 did have to stop on course (around the 10:40 mark in the video) to reset due to a presumed computer issue. Without the issue, that gap would be much smaller. Racing EVs are still in their infancy, and get maybe 0.1% the R&D budget of internal combustion vehicles, it’ll take some time before they are truly

How does this FF91 have 1,000 hp and lose by 30 seconds?

Almost every article jalopnik has ever posted on FF is filled with comments whining about how jalopnik hates FF for no reason and is too hard on them.

Nowhere in the article does it mention the fact the car had to stop for roughly 10 seconds (or more) during the run to reset – do the guys who write even watch the stuff they post?

Looking through some of the comments, it’s remarkable how much negativity there is about Faraday as compared to the adulation given to Tesla, a company who lose money year after year.

So in reality, the car is about 33 seconds faster if they can get the bugs sorted out.

So what is the actual probability of this company being successfull? I feel like there is a lot of, perhaps very well deserved, hate leveled towards this company on this site... is it possible that this company is actually on track with just some rather public hiccups? There is another company I check in on from time

Good thing they didn’t hire Richard Hammond to drive it.

another company I have fingers crossed and hope they succeed...

Make it a thong!

Make it interesting though, and do it on ROT rally weekend. More Jalop this way.

How many Karmas did Fisker sell?

Despite all the financial, legal, and marketing miscues, I’m really hopeful that the engineering behind FF is solid. I know a few people who work there, and they only have good things to say about the engineering. Memes aside, I have a hard time rooting against EV companies. Startups are hard.

Lol when I was a young kid I used to write NASA for pics of the space shuttle and stuff. They’d always reply and send me cool 8x10's every single time. Loved it. Couldn’t wait to check the mailbox when I was in grade school. I read in some magazine that they would respond if you wrote them so I did it constantly.

No, it’s not.

At 70 cars a year that means they dyno one approximately every 5 days. How long does the dyno session last? 5 minutes at full power would be pushing it. So, 5 minutes of power generation every 5 days...not really offsetting anything.

Eh? Gates has long been known for his philanthropy.

I’m willing to bet my next check that it was more than 60. Nick Sampson seems pretty confident that it far exceeded 60 paid reservations, his comments are more reliable than BI and Jalop’s “sources”.

So, why exactly are you guys at Jello Picnic so bullish on Lucid while you’re so bearish on FF? Both companies are being bankrolled by LeEco, and the FF91 is actually much closer to production. Yet, you are constantly shitting on FF and orgasming about how great Lucid is.

Why is every Jalop post about FF just a bash? It’s to the point when I see FF announce something I have to check to how Jalop bashes it for entertainment.
