Probably someone who’s elderly and doesn’t drive anymore, or who lost a spouse who liked the car more than they did. Particularly in the latter case, figuring out what to do with it can be a bit overwhelming emotionally.

I largely agree with this sentiment, save for one item:

Workers aren’t forced to work for Uber/Lyft...they’re doing it by choice and they should know what the costs are. Regulating it makes no sense to me, do the law makers realize it will make Uber/Lyft disappear which will actually take income away from people who rely on these gigs to make a living?

And this people is why we cant have nice things. When it started Uber was a side gig for people that already have jobs to make a few bucks on the side. Then a bunch of people decided to do it full time and bitch about how the system doesn’t work as they assume it should. Uber/Lyft didnt do anything to discourage this…

Now that’s what I call a coolant overflow tank! Not one single extra dollar was spent!  That idea alone is worth $4k.

Actually that’s true in California, too.

The argument has always been that the state owns the license plate, so they get to choose what’s on it. I consider that kind of flimsy but it’s held up in court so far.

The old buzzkills in the DMV seem to be all over the map with what is or isn’t acceptable. They would not let me get “ISAYWTF”, and they won’t allow any plate with “H8" in it, but somehow others seem to slip past. Some of my faves:

What are they going to do? Outlaw the letter “P”? There’s no way a database caught this.

So how does this play with the live free or die state motto. Does that mean her choices are “or death” now? 

This pisses me off.
