Thank you. Continuity was never as airtight as people make it out to be. There were always inconsistencies. It’s to be expected on a series that’s 50 years old and has had many writers and showrunners.

I guess the thing is, I grew up on X-Men comics. I’m fine with flexible continuity, so the details don’t bug me so much.
For what it’s worth, I’m watching the aftershow right now, and they briefly touch on this moment (along with their transporter override through the shields) as indicative of just how desperate the Federation is at this point.
Personally, I think that some fans have a weird fixation on “pushing forward in years.”
Almost every show might as well be a soft reboot since Star Trek has always been bad with continuity. Voyager shouldn’t exist because ships could already cross the entire galaxy in days in TOS.
So, the writers competently seeded their storylines, rather than having shit happen at random?
Decided to stop by my local Best Buy a little after they opened at 10am this morning just to see. I was completely shocked when I walked in and the guy at the door asked if I was there for the SNES Classic, and if so, to take this ticket and get in line to purchase. Whoa! I was #60 and it seems like they had about…
That was always going to happen. The question is whether people will actually need to buy from scalpers, and right now the answer appears to be no.
One requires work and know-how. The other is cute and ready to use out of the box (which is itself a cute throwback to original packaging). And official. Not that hard to explain.
Your friendly neighborhood WOTC spy here. You can re-submit your information with your DCI number. It will update your submission.
As someone who has in the past spent way too much fucking money on MTGO, this excites me. I hope it won’t cost an arm and leg to play. I had to quit playing MTG because it costs way too damn much.
They’re focusing on new sets, so you’ll presumably be able to play standard on it.
Oh I’m sure there’s a WotC spy in here somewhere.
You just activated my trap card!
...and that he had also wanted to kill“blacks, Arabs, Jews and homosexuals.”
In fairness, that was 1991.
Ouch. That hurts to hear.
That s why complaining works people.
I hate it when people have fun and try to do a fun fan activity that I’m not forced to partake in or believe. Stop having fun.
Fairly obvious at this point that it’s a rushed launch. Personally don’t see much point in getting it at launch, but as a Nintendo fan I see myself getting one eventually. Virtual console isn’t a *huge* deal to have right away, but it would have helped the somewhat weak launch lineup.
