You have a point. For the consumer, no additional data would be required as the google servers would be the computer connecting to a match. Players would just have to deal with double latency (home to google server to game server and back). Which sounds terrible btw.

You could make an account at https://howlongtobeat.com/ ,sync your library(s), then start with the shortest games on your list. Maybe break up short games with sessions on long games.
