Notice how two of these movies have Robin Williams playing adult-looking kids. The whole idea just doesn’t work, not matter how much Robin gives to the roles. Hook is watchable for the banter between Dustin Hoffman and Bob Hoskins.

The guess is that either Hoda is dealing with severe COVID or she has a significant mental/physical health issue that hasn’t been fully determined yet.

My first real-world memory of James Hong is an episode of MacGyver and him yelling “Child! Child!” thinking a special child could grant wishes. HE is one of my favorite character actors ever and I’m glad he’s getting this level of recognition.

It doesn’t hold up. The “fishes out of water” comedy combine with sci-fi might have worked in the 80s, but I think the movie is silly and even cringe-worthy now. It’s not the utter dreck that ST:V is but even The Search for Spock is more watchable now.

A ST movie set in the evil beard universe might be interesting. 

It’s like there are millions of people outside of comment sections like this that enjoy blockbuster movies full of action, spectacle and good music. As mediocre as Avatar can be in some ways, remember that many of the Transformer movies also have made huge box office. They are far, far worse than Avatar.

I would put in a plug for the amazing French film Fantastic Planet. Amazing and strange designs for the beings on Ygam (and the planet itself), with a thought-provoking story. Plus, you know, the nudity and sexual content.

Most of the publicity around dementia is focused on Alzheimer’s, but there are so many other times. Robin Williams had Lewy Body Dementia and that caused a lot of hallucinations, unfortunately. I hope that Bruce can get great care so the end of his life is peaceful.

I’m happy to have visited the Bull and Finch a 20 years ago. Just a normal, loud, overcrowded city bar. The replica Cheer bar would at least have some kitsch charm.

Look at how many Hogwarts Legacy adds are streaming on Twitch right now. It’s the same thing. Profit over everything for most corporations. Even though we have seen some large companies change their advertising or behavior for anti-LGBTQIA2+ legislation in some states, apparently that’s not the same as a game selling…
