As nice as it would be to think that, I don't see this as a turning point. Not with racists getting a lot of mainstream press, with reporters having earnest conversations with them on national TV to "understand the side of the racist". It emboldens them, so I expect a few more Charlottesville type events before…
Is Mike Pence a better solution? He's not unhinged, but he is a fundie POS.
That's not a place where we should go. We cannot be making martyrs to this kind of cause.
I feel the same way about Jerry Mouse. Tom becomes a much my sympathetic character as I age.
The competition episodes with the Soviets were classic. I wish someone would stream the show. I haven't been able to find it.
He had the most exposure at the time, with all those primetime specials. I'm sure I would have been more excited about better magicians/illusionists if I had seen them.
Head of the Class!
Six letters: T A R D I S.
I was always mesmerized by the David Copperfield specials when I was young. I've even avoided the shows that have deconstructed the illusions for laymen (fuck you Mitch Pileggi). There's something to be said for keeping some of that wonder of childhood. I can go back and watch some of the Copperfield specials and…
Worst people in the world except for Marshall. Still a loyal Minnesota bro. Fuck the rest of them though.
The stuff that he is doing that led to Charlottesville is far more disturbing and worrying that Kim Jong Un. Angry racists who feel they are marginalized in an increasingly diverse citizenry can do far more damage long term than a nuclear weapon.
A traitor? Nah. He's an arrogant git, though.
Maybe Bolling is a fan of Looney Tunes logic.
Let me guess, this magazine would have little other than women in bikinis holding large guns.
I think when you compare Zoo to The Mist, it reinforces the idea that if you are going to do an absurd idea, better go full derp. Don't try to make it serious.
One of the classes at this academy better be in Klingon. Another is how a red shirt dies properly. Another is how to prevent destroying a timeline.
No Al Lewis, no sale.
It's cool to trash stuff on the Internet. Didn't you know?
Based on their music and development, I don't think the Bosstones can be lumped in with any of this trash, or even other ska bands of the time. "Let's Face It" was more mainstream than any of their other albums and that could explain the mainstream appeal. It's me lease favorite of their 20th century stuff.
