Ashley Nicole Black is one of my favorite parts on Full Frontal - she has great delivery, fun parts, and just... I love seeing her on screen. Also I am so pleased - I kind of forgot Drunk History existed for a while and between her and Tiffany Haddish’s pieces, I am back to binging as much of it as I can.

I also do performances semi professionally - I know that this will never be my full time “day job” so I work a 9-5 which pays the bills and helps pay the art when I need it to.

As someone who has been in the dance community since childhood - this is not uncommon. And ranges from the extreme like Martins to the more casual constant body shaming and verbal abuse.

Awesome! I really enjoy her projects and I absolutely love her closet. I do my best to also adhere to a style that is fun and easy (while also having a 9-5) which means a lot of business casual circus days, 70s inspired pieces and unusual prints!

Wonder Woman was turned into a pig by Circe and Circe asked Bats to sing as a sacrifice to transform the Amazon back into her original form. At least, that was the Justice League episode I remember. Zantanna was there but not the transformer or the transformed.

What I have loved about her re-emergence into music is that she has reinterpreted her aesthetic to adhere to the music she is creating which is truer to herself than her debut music (which I loved but feel tinged with sadness as its art under duress and control).

Also makes me think of Mom from Futurama - sweet exterior, scheming interior. Was she also based on Martha Stewart?

I like the fact that there is equal opportunity for viciousness and poor choices. Women pirates did exist after all!

Freudian slip?

Pretty even. We try to make it cheerful so that its not horrifying. We also usually put on and peel off in the pool itself - its much easier. 

I actually am a mermaid for events! We swim around the pool, do silly tricks, surprise children when we take the tails off. There isn’t a school in our area so all our mermaids are self trained and we take our tails to the gym!
