Yeah, it seems like everything since Recovery has had at least one instance of either apologizing for or angrily defending each previous album. And if he’s not doing that, he’s berating himself for not matching up to his biggest hits. (something he’s admittedly been doing since MMLP)

Since its 2018 and studios cant help themselves, I’m sure the first 45 minutes will be Wile E.’s backstory, of how he grew up a poor coyote with an over demanding father, and how we was bullied in school by packs of road runners , how he watched helplessly as his father was sucked into a tornado etc.

Here are Chuck Jones’s rules for Wile E. Coyote and Road Runner cartoons. I can’t imagine they’ll adhere to #4, but the creativity forced by those rules is what made the original shorts work.

Discounting Incredible Hulk as a dry run, the two weakest MCU films - Iron Man 2 and Thor 2 - have opposing problems. IM2 is full to bursting with character, ideas and digressions (this film has Slattery Howard Stark, Black Widow, War Machine, Justin Hammer, SHIELD, Senator Garry Shandling, Whiplash, drunk Tony) but…

I was coming here to mention Thor hanging Mjolnir up on the coat rack. I also like Selvig’s joy that Loki is dead, followed by an awkward offer of condolences to Thor.

But it was never a part of the MCU to begin with. It’s as much a part of the MCU as the X-Men and pre-Homecoming Spider-Man films are. It’s like saying Batman & Robin is the worst film of the DCEU. 

As meh as Dark World is, I still think it’s perfectly watchable and Hemsworth himself has some great scenes still.

The movie has a ton of great moments (Mew Mew, the portal fight, Loki as Cap, every scene with Chris O’Dowd, Thor hanging up Mjolnir on the coat rack, “So, who’s Richard?” “Really?”, Darcy’s intern, Frigga’s funeral), but Malekith is so boring that he brings down the rest of the movie.
