Better hardware might make it prettier or run a little smoother, but it’s the same game either way. My enjoyment of it likely won’t change in the slightest. 

Which sets are the 2001-2004 ones? I have quite a few of the Neo, Team Rocket, and Gym Trainer cards. 

So I have the complete set of the Basic, Jungle and Fossil sets with all the holofoils and a few 1st edition holos. Is it worth getting cards appraised individually vs just selling the set without appraisal? Even appraising a single sought after card from like PSA seems crazy expensive. 

The late millennial/Gen Z editors don’t realize their takes have all been done before.

I grew up lower-middle class, and still don’t understand why gamers can part with their favorite games so easily. Especially since they often appreciate in value if kept in good condition from the $5 GameStop will fetch you. 

Not to mention this was a sexual assault case, a crime that seems to be particularly en vogue in the GOP at the moment.

Excited to sink another 200 hours into this world, but more than anything, my one hope is some sort of forging mechanic to fix broken weapons (or renew them before they break). Ideally it’d be neat to temper weapons to a la Elden Ring.

Well, TO has always been highly regarded for its story, so FE Engage wasn’t likely to surpass it, but I agree TO has more strategic gameplay overall. A lot of that has to do with the 3-dimensional battlefield vs the flat square grid. 

Apparently Ashley (the author) has never been to Japan.

At the time it was considered a weak story, but it’s gotten more respect after Fates and Engage especially. It’s in the middle for me.
